OK. Where is the game?
Deny Jan 25, 2017 @ 8:39pm
Development stalled nearly 2 years ago, and the game was pulled from the store early last year.

A new developer (Forthright Entertainment) has acquired the assets and IP and are in the process of rebuilding Beasts of Prey using the Unreal Engine. We'll see and hear more about this in 2017.

The new release will have a different Steam ID, Store page and Forum section, so this one has been archived presumably to minimize confusion going forward.

huh...? BoP is going to be rebuilt? I oddly look forward to it

BoP pretty much died because they dropped around the same time ARK came out and clearly ARK was more invested in developing then BoP. Who by this point saw their sales stall and ARK boom.

So, developers screwed us, someone else bought the game and we're expected to pay for it again.

I think i'll forget this games exists.

Paying once was bad enough, I refuse to pay twice.

Beast of Pray was a money fraud scheme. The main guy behind this and Vavel game studios ( Mikolaj Marcisz) is allegedly working on another game with the same sort of pattern. Asks for money. Posts a little bit about the game, delays game, asks for even more money and so on. This isnt the first time Vavel has done this. They start s little bit of a game and then shut it down and pocket all the money. Rinse and repeat. The Current game Miko and Vavel are ''Working on'' is Imperium Galactic War. It was actually just delayed again today and Miko asked for more money. He actually had a ''founders sale'' where people could ''invest'' 50k bucks into it. He said that money would go towards making the game go live but the game isint even playable much like Beasts and he wont even release updates on it. Now its delayed until the 25th (6th delay for it) and he suddenly needs more money. Its all a fraud scheme.

Hey Spliting. So when we first took over Beasts of Prey we were going to partner with Vavel for development of the game. Miko was not the creator of Beasts of Prey, as Burnz was. Vavel had promised a support development team in Poland, however, for reasons that I won't get into publicly, the deal never got off the ground and Forthright moved on and continued working on our own. What I can say with 100% fact, is that Vavel never even started working on Beasts of Prey in any real capacity.

Another important item of note is that we are not asking for a penny from the community towards the development of the new version of Beasts of Prey. We have also said, that all previous owners, will receive the new version of the game, at no additional charge. We have stated that there will not be an Early Access and that the product will be ready when it is ready. I did state that we hoped to launch this year, however, that did not happen. 2019 is looking like a great year, but we do understand that people are getting impatient. We are not going to launch a subpar product or a product that is not ready for a full launch. Hang tight, please know that I personally have a lot invested in time and money in this project and as an original player myself, looking forward to allowing the community to finally experience what we have creating.
