Where is the deadly storm which belongs ot many other battle royale games?
I think also they need to reduce the food spawns if they want to have a serious survival game.
But the lack of one survival element doesn´t make this game belong to another gerne.

Still coming! It's getting very close to being worked on now. We put it off for a long time while we focused on other game mechanics.

Hey, some great additions and fixes. A brilliant job on that front and seems a solid update for the most part as it brings out more of the strong survival aspects of the game. Though my character did immediately get gassed and killed on spawning in by the radiation storm, it was an.. interesting return nonetheless haha. Anyway..

However that being said, I have experienced some issues with the roaches constantly spawning in literally every house within a couple of searches, especially for rags like pillows and the spiders at cutting trees. They just pop into existence in front of me and attack. For me this both breaks the immersion and sorta feels highly unfair that in searching 4 rooms in 1 house of 6 rooms, 4 roaches or more will spawn, take you down to 35 to 60% health as a new character with only your fist as a defense before searching the remainder of what's even within the house.
Conversely spiders do this after around eight to ten swings of the axe on a tree and can knock your health down to 40% in one explosion because your swing immediately blew them up after they spawned right below your feet. Kinda cheating to be honest.

Continuing on, looting almost anything after about four taps of the 'F' key seemed to cause the roaches appearance, this issue then causes the problem with going up against Zeds later on that have locked onto you through a window while you are already in this weak state from the roaches. This is especially deadly as a new survivor as you have no active way to reheal without spawning the roaches again, unless you are already possessing a metric tonne of rags/bandages.
Roaches, bandages, fighting the zombie(s) and somehow surviving in a decent state seem to call in a questionable future for your character.
Even if you are with a weapon, it becomes a tedious chore to constantly kill them, as they nibble continuously at your health while changing priorities and looting, giving no room for the character to breathe or find heals without further harm. Last thing you want to do is waste valuable ammo on a roach just because it magically spawned, you've panicked and don't want it to take that precious 15% of health off like the previous 3 have in the last minute.

(I do like the sounds of their feet scurrying around, creepy..)

Personally, I believe a simpler, fairer system would be having the roaches spawn like zombies, however with a random % per house/area block as a physical prefab instance within the vicinity of player(s), pool them in say 25-100 meter increments, then despawn them once all player(s) have left said area for a certain period of time. This would then continue to keep a sense of tense satisfying frustration in destroying them after hearing them moving around, but knowing that you may only get surprised attacked by one because you ended up not seeing them, not because you pushed the 'F' key three to four times and got unlucky.

(I suppose there is only so much rng one can enjoy when bugs keep jumpscaring you into next week)

Though evaluating the current system may work for the spiders in the wilderness if toned down in circumstance, spawning them further around in circle of the player, instead of below half a foot away, giving the player time to react.

(Now I will note this was all experienced only playing alone, not as a group so that in on itself could involve very different play-styles altogether or be complete chaos, I don't know, this was more of my first thoughts only. There may be various sceneries I could try and to avoid what was mentioned above, but as of yet I have yet to find any versatile stratergy that works with limited gear. Thank you for reading. :served:)

So, annoying little new thing. Hatcheting trees spawns spiders, which immediately explode on you. Crafting is going to be even slower now
