December 28th Advent Challenge Options

For the days between the 27th and New Year's Eve, the community will receive options with each day:

A) To extend the deadline on any previous challenge (either to get more points, earn Bonuses or to get the numbers for Cryptic/Grand Challenge Clues)
B) To get an additional hint towards a failed challenge
C) For completed challenges that didn't earn the Cryptic/Grand Challenge, you may unlock them

These options will be taken day-by-day, with a majority vote of 3+ after each day getting the request. If no majority is reached, the vote is extended another day.

Any votes that are not decided by New Year's Day will be used towards the Grand Challenge by default, and deadline extensions will reach to New Year's Day.

All time after that until the 4th is dedicated to the Grand Challnge - a normal submission for a Challenge, but using hidden rules: each rule followed earns a greater medal chance and earns you more points towards the requirements (as listed on the Grand Challenge thread).

The deadline for the 4th is the standard 12.00 noon, CET, and this is the standard time for the daily choice votes as well (though due to late-posting for the 27th, it is extended to 13.00 CET on the 28th for the first vote check).

Please indicate in a reply here which you would rather get of A, B or C and for which challenge (only for the 28th's vote please, each day after it will go up in a seperate thread)

I would also recommend considering how best to use the lifelines the top-scorers have earned so far. Again, if not used by New Year's day, they will contribute to the Grand Challenge.

I vote for extending the deadline on the Challenge 21. We need only one more entry for the Challenge Rule.

I would instead vote to unlock the clue for Challenge 21 instead of extending the deadline, but I'd prefer we unlock a full clue if one of the puzzles affords a full clue to unlock. So I will vote to unlock the clue for Challenge 21, but would prefer to unlock Puzzle 18 instead.

I'm willing to support either of Dragalar's proposals (i.e., add my vote if it will give us enough).

Actually I think I would prefer to unlock the Grand Challenge clue for #18 or #22, which would hopefully be the last hidden rule, and we can choose to use the last lifeline on #21 for the half unlock. So I will switch my vote to unlock Challenge 22 (my reasoning is that the 4th rule is after the half rule starting from challenge 19, and theoretically Challenge 22 should hold the 4th hidden rule), and hope we can agree that Man-At-Arms and brown29knight will second/third so we can get the 4 rules, albeit with one somewhat incomplete, to start making attempts.

My belief is that the fourth rule requires we get certain treasures or pictures of certain beings, or visit locations in a certain order, based on the Cryptic Clues.

I'm on board. That's the same basic plan I was going to propose. The order really doesn't
matter if we are using the 3 for 18, 21, and 22.

Those are the only 3 that are called "major" clues, and thus I think they are the critical ones (the last puzzle ending tomorrow is a maor, as well, so we probably need that for Rule 4).

I'll support any of those 3.
