Harry, Min-Jeong and Jan-Piet were on a fishing trip, because according to Jan-Piet everyone should at least fish once in their life no matter their origins. Harry had heard Jan-Piet and Min-Jeong talking and decided this was something he needed to see. However, unlike Harry’s expectation, noble-born Min-Jeong was being very serious about giving fishing a try.

Min-Jeong reeled in her line and frowned as the bait had fallen off again. She pouted and turned to Jan-Piet.

“Could you please put on a new worm?” She asked him politely.

“Sure, don’t feel bad about not catching anything yet! Sometimes the fish aren’t swimming nearby.” He tried to reassure her. Harry rolled his eyes and looked pointedly at the six fish swimming in the bucket next to Jan-Piet, then to his and Min-Jeong’s empty buckets.

“I suppose so. “ Min-Jeong said as she threw her fishing-pole with new bait out again. Harry sighed and wondered why he could have possibly thought this was going to be fun.

Then suddenly Min-Jeong’s floating cork went under and she could feel her line starting to unwind from her fishing pole.

“I got something! What do I do now?!” She yelled excitedly. Jan-Piet immediately sprung up and excitedly started giving her directions. Together they reeled in the line, but at the end of it was no fish.

The hook had gotten perfectly stuck around the neck of a glass bottle. Disappointed, Min-Jeong threw the bottle in her bucket after unhooking it and pouted as she glared at it.

Jan-Piet patted her shoulder: “It’s actually pretty amazing you managed to reel in a bottle. The line would have snapped if you hadn’t been careful enough.” Min-Jeong shifted her glare to him and then yielded with a: “I suppose not everyone would be able to do so…”

Harry noticed the bottle wasn’t empty and grabbed it from her bucket. She tried to grab it back but he simply held it out of her reach, uncorked it, took out the rolled paper and read out loud:

“The anti-explorers are training dogs to attack humans on the Lost Island, please save these poor dogs!”

“That’s horrible!” Min-Jeong gasped. Jan-Piet nodded vehemently and everyone shared a look of determination.

Those dogs had to be saved!

But who would go….?

  • Captain must be a dog lover: Harry, Jan-Piet, Yu, Min-Jeong
  • Crew members that hate dogs are not allowed: Hatice, Agatha
  • End with Friendly attitude overall (Dogs have to be saved, not bullied/beaten)
  • Visit Lost Island
  • For those without lost island DLC go to Shangri-La (and save the Yeti if it exists)
  • You must play on Adventure mode.
Your score is your Renown
  • BRONZE: 3000 (1MP*)
  • SILVER: 7000 (2MP*)
  • GOLD: 13000 (3MP*)
  • PLATINUM: 17000 (3MP+**)
* Number of medal points awarded when playing on Classic Difficulty. Easy and Normal give less, according to these rules.
Gold and Platinum medals may only be achieved without losing, though Silver and Bronze are still possible to get with just the Record sheet for that trip.
** The platinum medal is extraordinary and can only be achieved on Classic or Impossible difficulty without losing. It doesn't increase Medal Points further than a Gold medal, but we will track how many you have.

Amazingly, every treasure spawned that I wanted and the right entourage in Rio as well <3
I was so lucky I was waiting for the moment it would all go wrong but it didn't xD
My highest score (only slightly lower than my personal record as well O.o) after the big token patch and Min-Jeong still owns :reexcited:

Oh man, talk about tripping on the finish line! I brought a naturalist specifically to get the crystal I was missing from Lost Island, but accidentally went to the dinosaur boss instead. I managed to get my hands on the Frankenstein Bolt I needed for my collection though. :reimpressed:

Fun week!

I had no idea how to do this so I just stole the team comp from Noctua (thanks xP). It went way better than expected tbh xD

I admit, Hungary and Emerged COULD have better spawns (like freakin cathedral). Plus Stockholm didn't have archeology specialist (forgot her name) which in turn forced me to take excavation from SF to make full use of Doc Voodoo without wasting trinket space. Still, I managed to squeeze out solid gold from our korean princess.

A score of 19891 for me. I'd never quite appreciated just how amazingly good Earl's card is until this week. And I got to see something I'd never seen before in Egpyt , which was very cool :)

The dog rescue mission seemed like a good cause and all, but what's an adventure without a few pranks at certain people's expense, eh? So I wrote a little story about some Lost Island-inspired scheming, and what happens when Harry enlists Earl and Emilia into his subterfuge. You can find it here- Please enjoy!

And I'm live! Hopefully it goes well?

That Carib was weird, good treasure count and stuff, but not a lot of other stuff. Still powered through to plat on it!

Well, that was fun for my first public challenge! RNG hated me this go around, I lost 3 treasures on 86% and up spins, and Mali cut me off early. Just Silver, but hey I'll do better next time!

Since no one else was using JP, I shelved my Min-Jeong run to give him some representation.
I went with my old "Jan-Piet Cape Town" strategy and some light Beguiler Stacking, which is my favorite strategy with him as it uses the often forgotten Africa insight locations.

I opened with completing History and then went to Mali to get the Songhai sword for even more Cape Town bonuses. Victor was here for his fancy sword and for the Tactical Insight card so JP can get even more out of his Insight. Harry was here as he's great for Mali and the rest of the route I went on so he could stack up his card, and he loves dogs so that fits even better.

It went alright, not as good as I wanted though. Entourages just didn't cooperate, many were in either the wrong spots or just weren't there to begin with. I also mistakenly used Jan-Piet's card on Victor instead of Harry, which screwed me out of getting Harry to lvl 6 beguiler.
