Chaos Overlord's power level is over 9000. Please help.
I have no money now, so I can't load up on bat spam, and I don't know how to grind other areas to get more money.

But this boss is completely and hilariously stronger compared to all the other ones up to him, and all the enemies. Hince the Over 9000 in the title. It's just not a joke here.

I know he's one of the last enemies in the game, perhaps I need to go through the Lava Arena first?

All I know is he hits like an atomic bomb, and the only possible defensive tool against him is the bats and jin potion summoning. The bats do help, along with the jin. Maybe lots of potions as well.

Maybe he does a bit too much damage, I mean, it's over 200 damage, and I believe it's physical based, so the Natural resistance doesn't do anything.

I have a decent armor class, but I'm a melee build, and getting close to anyone with a ranged attack in this game is absurdly difficult. :)

At least he doesn't have the broken Archer attack boost. You really should nerf archers, they should not have 5 times the chance to hit you than any other enemy, including mages or anything else in the game period.

If anyone can give my melee build using a very strong weapon, I could switch to the Volcanus if that helped, some advice, please let me know.

Maybe you guys should make it so enemies don't regenerate health when you die. :)

As a note, I started playing this game a long time ago, many patches before now, so maybe something was changed in the past, and new characters have an easier time.

All I know is my character's new name is "Ow, My Face." :)

Sorry for the lengthy post.
Please help, and no messages about, "Learn to play, nub."

Where did you put your stat points? What Skills did you choose?
davidb11 Jul 24, 2015 @ 1:54pm
MY stat points aren't exactly the best distrubution, I have 19 base strength, and everything but willpower and speed is over 16 base. Speed is 10 or 11, and Willpower is lower.

Perhaps more dex would have been better.
My current skills, is regeneration, from the very beginning, Adverturer, Natural resistance, and Eagle Eye.

I'm level 27, with a bit over 1000 health.

I don't know what to do here, so any advice is helpful.
What's better on the boss, firebombs or chain lightning?
Because I can probably beat him if I stock up on enough of both, and the bat summoning items to keep him distracted.

I'm thinking the lava arena would be a good place to get at least one more level, and enough money.

I do wish the skills would show up more frequently than they do though. :)

Should I go and do some of the hall of challenges for a bit first?

I think you might want to remake your character. Strength and Speed are the most powerful stats. I would only get 14 Dex to wear the Chaos Armor.

Remake my character? Ouch.
Well, thankfully, I've found out how to reset areas and gain more items and exp.
I'll try to keep the advice in mind for later games.
Didn't realize that attack rating wasn't helpful. :)
Seriously, how do you hit anything in this game if your dex stays at 14?

But uh, yeah, I'll make sure to put points in speed from now on, and when I get a new character.
Didn't even think high speed was good, except to stop double movement enemies.

I'd like some advice other than start over. :P

Seriously, I need help fighting this guy.
And sorry for rambling and craziness.

Maybe my game is bugged, and I need to start a new game... Especially with how much damage and HP he has.
Because I'm playing on some previous build or something, and the boss is stronger than he needs to be.

Sorry for going crazy, everyone. I just get frustrated easier than most other people.
Any help though, will be appreciated.

I'd try summoning 2 or 3 efreets. Any time you get low on HP, backstep and let the efreets take the hits while your potion works.

Okay. I'll try that. Again, sorry for freaing out.
I have Asperger's, and one of the issues I have is the freak outs when something upsets me.

And hey, if all else fails, starting again shouldn't be that bad.

For your weapon, damage is the only stat you should be looking for. Any other stat is a nice extra bonus. Maces are the most damaging weapons, followed by axes.

For armor, Armor Absorb is the only stat you should be looking for. Prime/Masterpiece items always have more Armor Absorb. After that, items with Strength or Speed are ideal. There are some rare prefixes that are good, but I usually settle for +% attack rating. It's hard to find an item that is a Masterpiece, has +2 speed or strength, and also has a good rare prefix.

Cheating using Cheat Engine is vastly more complicated than grinding gear and strength. :)
