It's unfortunate, but bad actors mean sometimes we can't have nice things.
When you convert the price of the game to dollars, it is cheap for you. But in Turkey, 250 lira is too much for a Turkish person. We are going through a difficult time. You can show some understanding.
The problem is that people were tricking steam into thinking they were from these regions to get major discounts, because of this, your price gets hiked closer to a normal price tag instead of the major discounts you were being given before(this isn't just for Turkey it goes for every nation that was being given major discounts), they announced the price change would be happening earlier then suggested by steam as well, so you can expect these changes to happen across steam in relatively short order.
They said before on November 17th and I acted according to this announcement. Because if they said November 17th, I thought that they would not change the price before this date and I did not look at the other announcements. It's normal for me to think like that. How would I know it would be a scam? I don't want them to reinstate the price. I just want them to give a discount of at least 70-75% on sale days. That's the old price. There are lots of victims of this situation on Turkish forums.
Rimworld is a 40USD game, whatre you on about?
Theres two camps on this issue. On the oneside it is incredibly unfair to have "prices for thee not for me" stuff going on.
On the other hand, regional pricing makes sense for physical products.
you were paying a 1/10th for the game, now you pay 1/2. can you show some understanding to people like me who pay the full price? you realize that without people like me, the game would never have been made in the first place, right? I don't see threads on here from people in Turkey saying thank you Westerners for paying full price so that we can play the game at 1/10th price. Show some respect.
