Steam Deck update testing on PC
Hello everyone, long time no talk!

We are wanting to collect the logs of people that are having issues so we can find common mods that may be reacting poorly to the update to increase compatibility, or contact mod authors on what steps may need to be made on their side to fix things.

If you go onto Unstable and your game doesn't work, please send us your log!

You can reply here with a pastebin or other way of sharing your file, or come onto our official development discord server here: https://discord.gg/qEEX5Mg and post them into our Unstable Build channel, tagging me.

Thanks for the community help!

I do not really know where to put this...but this is a thing that worries me quite a bit. It is not uncommon to run really large modlist on the PC and that is a thing I dearly love.

Still - I do not wish to have Steam automatically download all the subscribed workshop mods on my Steam Deck (that I do use on my PC) since like 200+ subscribed mods will easily flood the limited storage space of the Steam Deck.

Is there any way you know of or you can think of - how one could have separate mod download lists for the computer and Steam Deck respectively.

Can't you get an SD card for the deck & put Rimworld on that?.

I've got a 512gb SD in mine & just throw big games onto that. I really don't expect two layers of steam workshop for each to be introduced as one of the main mechanics which is a selling point is alignment of save games across your desktop and deck.

SD card performance is great - you could extend that to a 1tb one & the prices are very reasonable now.

I think this is a feature request that would be good to direct at the steam deck devs. I have passed this on to our own devs as well though for them to review and consider.
This just got unpinned. Does this mean it's basically done after the last patch and you don't need feedback anymore?

If you want to leave feedback here, please do. This post was primarily about mods breaking from the update, which has been published. However I will be sure to write down any feedback you leave.
