Still - I do not wish to have Steam automatically download all the subscribed workshop mods on my Steam Deck (that I do use on my PC) since like 200+ subscribed mods will easily flood the limited storage space of the Steam Deck.
Is there any way you know of or you can think of - how one could have separate mod download lists for the computer and Steam Deck respectively.
I've got a 512gb SD in mine & just throw big games onto that. I really don't expect two layers of steam workshop for each to be introduced as one of the main mechanics which is a selling point is alignment of save games across your desktop and deck.
SD card performance is great - you could extend that to a 1tb one & the prices are very reasonable now.
I think this is a feature request that would be good to direct at the steam deck devs. I have passed this on to our own devs as well though for them to review and consider.
