This is the last full price DLC I'm buying. Who's with me?

I've now spent a ridiculous amount of money on this game and, while it has brought me countless hours of enjoyment, most of those have been buffed by Mods more than DLC although the DLC itself has not been joyless. I'm not against buying DLC but how am I supposed to get my friends into playing the game or using multiplayer mods when the full game will cost them $100+? it's a great game but we already bought the game and they are charging out the wazoo to solve the missing content.

I hope the devs read this. I don't really know where else to post but here it is.

I don't feel like any content is missing. I'll have to see the next expansion before I know for sure if I'll buy it, but odds are I will. They've been good so far.

Pretty hard disagree I'm afraid.

Paid extensive content DLC for a single player game is one of the more agreeable business plans. As long as the dlc continue to be engaging, I will continue to sink money and time into them.

I also don't really understand the mindset of incentivizing devs to not allow mods. If your argument is that you will never buy content from a game with good mod support, then devs now have a financial incentive to not provide good mod support. Just food for thought.

I dont see how the full game costs 100 bucks in any way shape or form when the full game is literally just 1.0 and not whatever came after. Especially not the DLCs which are expansion packs if anything. In other words: Additional content. Additional cause its adding onto the already available full game.

If you want your friends to get the game, dont tell them it costs 100 bucks. Tell them to play the basegame first and see if they like it. And if they do, they gonna probably buy the DLC on their own. Or not. I would NEVER overwhelm a new player with even Royalty, the DLC that added the least content out of all 3.

As long as they keep making good DLC's, I will continue to purchase full price. I don't understand the problem here, they make content and you pay for it? That's how things go. If your argument is the overall cost of the DLC's added up, than your friends can get them much like everybody else did, over time. As it's not like DLC's are a requirement for anything or to play.

If you prefer mods over the DLC, than save yourself and your friends the cost of the DLC and just play mods? I don't understand the issue here.

I didn't buy this DLC despite my near 2K hours on Rimworld. And most likely, I won't. This actually killed this game for me.
I won't update the few mods I made, I don't even want to see gameplay.

They said something along the lines of "This DLC pricing is caused by 15 months of work and many new employees" .... So, you recruited people and spent 15 month to steal, adapt and flesh out 4 mods and selling that for 25-30€?

There are limits to how gullible people can be... I hope ;)

I'll never pay full price. I never suffer Fear of Missing Out. I like Royalty ok. Don't care about the others at all, might pick them up someday if on a good sale.

I love people acting like this game is in a void. Have you seen the majority of monetisation practises in the gaming industry over the last decade? This is one of the better models on now to charge for your game. I'd say it's one of the best value for money products you can buy on the market. Where the game plus all the optional content is still cheaper than the price of a AAA game without feeling like you bought the "cheap" version lacking content.

You do realise that most mods that are currently updated are based on other people's work that that they copied or carried over right? The most popular mod series, Vanilla Expanded literally does the same thing. They copy the same concept modders have done, only they do it better.

Let's set the devs to a different standard though.
