New to rimworld and rim world community

So any tips also who is your go to rimworld content creator?

'Mr Sam Streamer' (previously Roll1D2Games) if pretty much the biggest YTer currently. if you see mentions of 'Mr.Streamer' its usually him being spoken of. His content is highly modded and allabout the bad things that can happen.

as for tips. the biggest joy is learning how the game works on your own. losing is part of the learning loop.

for early game some pointers: you can approach the beginning like actual survival (find shelter and food; water/thirst is not part of vanilla). colonies usually fail by either a lack of defense, a chain reaction of bad mood reactions or lacking specific materials (steel, components or food in most cases).

once you get early food sorted keeping the mood up of our pawns is the next goal. whats causing bad mood is listed in the pawns 'Needs' menu and should provide enough pointers what you have to fix in your colony.

defense is something you have to improve steadily alongside everything else.

Honestly I can't really think of much to add to what Hoki posted. Perhaps making sure your starting colonists are actually good. You will need at least one or two doctors, at least one person who can cook, etc.

I adore watching Sips purely for the entertainment value. If you watch him, it's basically a lesson in what not to do.
