Why are there People out there flagging mods on the Steam Workshop?
Like for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ real. Who is so bored with his Life that he has to Flag Mods in the Workshop so they get removed.
Its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying when you want to continue your Playtrough but each time some mods got removed for whatever dumb reason. Arent Steam Moderators checking if the Report makes even sense in any way, or do they just delete everything that gets reported?
This is damn annoying and needs to stop.

What was removed? How do you know if it was removed due to it being flagged?
Astasia Jan 13 @ 12:16pm
Mods are removed automatically after a certain number of reports, the mod author then has a period to contest it and get a manual review of the mod, if the action was deemed unwarranted the mod is restored. There is no protection period on a mod after this happens, so sometimes the same people report it again as soon as it comes back up and it's taken right back down a few days later. There are some special people out there who abuse this system to harass mod authors they have some sort of beef with.

You can copy your workshop mods into your mod folder to gain full control of them, some mods will do this for you with a button press like RimPy and Mod Manager.

Reich Armory 1.2 from @Alien got Removed. I asked him on his Arasaka Mod Workshop Page what happend and he said that it got Reported.
Then i subscribed to a Mod that combined Kaiser Armory and Reich Armory and added some extras to it, and today it also got removed.
The thing is, i wouldnt even mind it that much if it got Removed, even tho its still just wrong. But somehow when Mods get removed from the Steam Workshop, Rimworld decides to also remove them from my PC or atleast make them unavaible so it ♥♥♥♥♥ up my entire Playtrough. because your sience, items, weapons and Resources you put in and what ever else is just lost.
Especially because Reich Armory offers defense Structures, my entire base was basicly unprotected. .. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying.

I see. That ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks. I mean.. it shouldnt be necessary to use third Party Programs to save your mods or Saves so you can actually continue Playing. And it also shouldnt be so easy to abuse a System to harass other People.. I hope, whoever these People are, step every day in their life on Lego Bricks. Multiple times a day.

Wow, didn't know they removed them automatically due to the obvious reason people tend to abuse those type of systems. Would also assume it would take a huge amount of reports for that to happen.
Astasia Jan 13 @ 12:50pm
I don't know what the threshold is for the reports, I just know that the mod Frackin' Universe for Starbound is taken down very frequently because of people abusing the system and the mod author has had to explain many times to people why they keep losing access to the mod and how he can't do anything about it except contest it every time and get it brought back up after a few days.

There are millions upon millions of items uploaded to the Steam content servers, screenshots, artwork, mods and other workshop content, and with that much content and so many people looking through it the number of reports per day are probably astronomical, so it's not really feasible to do it any other way. The system would probably be fine if making a Steam account wasn't free, or perhaps we can hope they put some sort of restrictions in to protect content creators like by not allowing accounts with less then X amount of money spent or Y amount of days since creation to report things.

I am not familiar with the mods in question. However, given their titles, if they contained any Nazi symbolism, they would be basically "illegal" in Germany. (I don't know if player-region filters things like that for the Workshop, but I'd doubt Valve would attempt to police "legal matters" via Region, there. They surely wouldn't want to take up the obligation to review any and all mods, themselves.)

Steam doesn't do much to police reporting or the abuse of reporting mechanics. They simply act on reports and leave it at that. It's sometimes like they've just left a loaded firearm on the living-room floor and don't mind who picks it up and pulls the trigger...

The point - Yes, there are issues with the customer-reporting/discipline system. But, players do have the ability to report things and their reports may have merit based upon the laws in their country. Steam has to balance these needs against the need to not get perma-banned, itself. :) (I have no idea how they handle certain game tiles within certain regions. I imagine it's a pretty big headache...)
i guess steam needs a manual review system say the third time a mod gets taken down and reinstated to perhaps avoid this sort of automated system abuse.

As much as i know, Steam does filter per Region.
But as far as i know only in their Shop.

For the Mods i named, they dont inherit anything from Nazis. The Mod itself just got named Reich Armory because it contains just Weapons and Structures from the Wehrmacht from 1938 to 1945, thus the Name, but its just the Items and Structures, no Symbols or anything related to Nazis. He also has a Tsar Armory, Soviet Armory and Kaiser Armory, all named after their very specific time and theme.
Thats why i cant Understand that it got taken down. I mean, everyone else cant access it as well.

That's what I assumed, as well. Things they can be said to "make money" with can open up some avenues they wouldn't want to expose should they fail to properly steward their marketplace. For Workshop items, they only have the potential pitfalls of acting as an "ignorant host" for offensive/illegal material. The former they can be sued for big monies for doing, the latter is just a take-down situation. :)

The report system doesn't have to be fair just because it has good intentions... Like my ex-wife used to say, "the road to H311 is paved with good intentions." :)

To truly know if it's a legitimate concern, one would have to know exactly why they were removed. Most likely it was just enough people acting out in order to feel "righteous." They should volunteer at a homeless shelter or go next-door and help their neighbor if they're looking for some self-actualization through serving their fellow persons. (Again, it could be legit or not, we wouldn't know unless we knew the "why.")

And any gay game or that allow female "Incubator\kitchen slave" to think on its own will get you beaten to death by law in Arabic country's. Don`t see that being an issue. Region lock is a thing, it would become invisible for anyone from Germany but that`s it

P.S. and before somebody start on thing of "Arabic country`s are not like that"... Send me a video you surviving 24 hours screaming on of top of your lungs that you gay or "women have right and should be able to make man amount of payment" in any non tourist city and i will say i was wrong

this is Valve's doing, not rimworld. in the end, who's fault it is may not really matter, but its important to channel your rage in the correct direction.
While I do understand your gripe about it and I do not think that they should be removed, please read your post again and then think about it.

If you do not find the flaw, let me rephrase it by only expanding on a single word of your post:
they dont inherit anything from Nazis. The Mod itself just got named Reich Armory because it contains just Weapons and Structures from the [insert]army branch of the german Nazi-Party, leading the regime[insert end] from 1938 to 1945, thus the Name,

Btw there are a myriad of mods out their containing the weaponry in question, so if it would actually about the pixels itself and not their very meaning, I there should not be an issue

Just making it short. Not everyone in Germany at the time was a real Nazi, actually it were very few. But thats not of Importance for this Mod.
But do you want to tell me that Weapons and Items have a Political Ideology?
Does it matter who built it?
I think it makes no difference if a Mauser Action Rifle got built by Germany or the US. In the end these are just tools. And thats the Mod. You get Weapons, defensive Structures and a Workbench, thats it. No Symbols or anything related to Nazis, well.. atleast if you dont draw a line between Objects and Political Ideologies. But at that Point i really see absolutely no Problem with Objects and Tools.
I mean, come on. A Hammer made in Germany isnt suddenly Nazi, just like a Hammer made in the USSR isnt Communist and a US Hammer isnt Capitalist, lol.
