Well, at least it isn't another post about a sale.
Well worth the price
In my opinion, it's well worth the money. Yes, the graphics aren't breath-taking, but the gameplay is fun, versitile, and can be enhanced from various mods. Also, since you're allowed to play it indefinitely, it provides hundreds, possibly thousands of hours worth of gameplay. However, if it's out of your budget, then do what's right for you.

I bet you payed for Cybepunk and said it was good.
Being 2D Should have nothing to do with the price.

Yes, it is worth it.

If you really cared that much about the graphics, you likely wouldn't be buying indie games ^^' .

You should focus on whether the game is *enough fun for the price*, period, no matter what game it is or how ginormous the publisher, Any other criteria are useless.
rimworld is definitely more expensive than other indie games of the same quality/fun value, i'd say it's worth it, but colony-builder games aren't for everybody
only drawback is the game being single core only, so if your CPU isn't good you gonna get 30fps average and a bare bone colony drops you at 10-20fps

This again??

My CPU is ten years old and it runs this game fine.

(side note: when this game is running and I look at my CPU usage monitor, all six cores ARE being heavily utilized. no idea how it's doing that with a single-core game, but it's doing it)

The secret is *very few* programs are actually "single-core", when you get right down to it. RW isn't optimized for multithreaded use but nonetheless, RW spawns many processes, and the OS's own process management will place them wherever it thinks is best.

If price and 3D graphics are what you primarily look for in your Steam purchases, then there are alternatives that might be of greater interest:

The core of OPs post is the same, though - that they believe the game is overpriced. From my perspective: they didn't try to ask about what we like about the game or anything to improve their own interest in the game - they just decided to complain about Rimworld and create another sale thread without using the word(s) sale or discount.

Imagine thinking that art style should factor into price.
I'm sorry you have such shallow way of thinking.
