how rare is Rimworld to go on sale? (I'm looking to buy the game)
Obs: I'm talking about good promotions because in my country the game is very expensive

if I remember correctly the devs said something along the lines of "we won't do sales, bc that would be unfair for the people who supported us in the kickstarter times"

correct me if I'm wrong, smarter person, but I think I read that somewhere

If that is correct, that is unfair with who can't pay for the full price ;w;

It's been in a bundle ( may appear in another one, nobody knows ) in the past and is pretty much on a small discount all the time. If you want a bigger discount than something like 20% than you'd most likely have to keep waiting.

I have seen it one on sale a few times, but not very often. I believe it was something like 10%. I will say, though, this game is definitely worth the price. I waited a while before buying it too. I don't regret buying it one bit.

*edit because didn't proofread

It goes on sale during every major steam sale for 10% off.

I think I remember the dev's reluctance to put it on sale was more due to the mindset of buying games on steam being "I'll just wait for it to go on a big sale" to the point that buying a game for full price ends up feeling like a ripoff. We see this a lot with AAA games that end up 30% off two months after release. Since Rimworld never goes on sale more than 10%, there isn't much point in waiting for a steam sale. If you want it, just buy it.

I have no faith in that website I looked up call to arms and it says it`s up for a dollar on steam which is 100% wrong.
https://isthereanydeal.com/game/calltoarms/info/
The first game I look up in it and it fails. I also looked up tf2 the second game I searched and it although said it was free also said that at random points for a few hours that the game was 20 or 30 dollars. Point is the logs are not consistent and I personally don`t have any faith in it.

It's accurate for the most part. I haven't seen anything wrong & I've used it a lot. Your link is only on steam sales but there are other trustworthy sellers that sell legit steam keys. Unfortunately you were looking up the wrong thing for that game as there are several 'editions.' This one is for the basic edition which might be what you're after. https://isthereanydeal.com/game/calltoarmsbasicedition/history/

Some notes:
  • Tynan has never said the game won't go on sale, and it HAS been on sale for 10% off more than once (not counting game bundles). Rather, he doesn't like the current Steam sale paradigm, which often pushes Indie devs into terrible situations.

  • No one owes you a discount, no matter what your circumstances are. That's not how the free market works, not even close.

  • If you think $30 for a game that can potentially bring you hundreds of hours of enjoyment is "too much", then stop buying games right now; AAA games will murder you from sticker shock!

  • Tynan treating his Kickstarter and Early Access backers well is not somehow "unfair" to you. Next time, perhaps you should jump in on Early Access?
It's this simple: if you don't think the game is worth it to you, at the given price, DON'T BUY IT. Problem solved!
