This been out for some time and i doubt if i will like it, due to silly cartoon. But ten percent off during winter sales or xmas, good lord you are greedy lol.

You can do better than that :)

This coming from a person who doesn't want to pay full price for a game, while admitting they doubt if they will like it. Surely the developer is the one in the wrong here.
Unfortunately, this game is never discounted more than 10%

Someday this game will actually go on sale and I will buy it. Not this 10% joke but an actual sale. Oh well plenty of great games on sale right now, maybe Rimworld will be on sale in 2021 Winter sale? It's all good.

consider it a gate to keep out the majority of toxic and entitled people that would damage the community.

You got other things to worry about if $30 is too much for you.

Game is awesome.

very least 25% off the DLC might have been a better outcome

It's economics.... if the game doesn't have big discounts it's because it's selling well enough to where it doesn't need to do discounts.

It can take a little while until the game "clicks", but when it does it's worth every penny. The mod community also adds infinite replayability.

Never say never.
It was recently on sale at Fanatical with a 15% discount and it will eventually see something similar on Steam.
@OP 10% or 15% is the best you're going to see for at least a couple of years.
Just buy it already, or don't, but stop quibbling over a couple of bucks ;)

This is funny. Even if the price was double what it is Rimworld would still have one of the most toxic "communities" on the Steam network. I can count on one hand the number of people on this forum who aren't pretentious bags of wind and probably have a finger left over.

If you're into these types of games this one is f'in incredible. The developer is sitting on a gold mine and he knows it. If it was my game I'd be greedy with it, too. And so would you. I mean, you could do so much good in the world with all the money you'd make from this game. Just think of all the strippers you could put through college!

You can get it a little cheaper on Fanatical, though, so there's that.

Ignorance of economics is no excuse for being a twit, either, so you're even.

Discounts are all about greed, ya know. Specifically, they're meant to drive sales, when they are lower than desired/expected, and/or you have an overabundance of product, sitting around and gathering dust. No, they are NOT done out of the goodness of sellers' hearts; lose that silliness now.

However, when sales are just about where you expected and wanted them to be, your game is rated highly by many prominent reviewers, has an incredibly high Steam rating, you have near-zero distribution costs, and so forth, guess what? No (or little) discount for you!

Quitcherbellyachin'. If the price is too high, don't buy it, just like any other product, but the histrionics get old. Do you camp outside restaurants you can't afford, to harangue them for their outrageous prices..?

This, the community is already toxic but it'd be cause for concern if people who won't buy a known amazing game full price joined.
Seriously this ♥♥♥♥ ain't a Paradox or CA game, it's $35 friggin' dollars. Say what you want about Royalty though, it's hard to tell how worthwhile it is.

Oh right, it's that wonderful time of the year when the discussion board gets flooded with people who demand the reduced prices to be even further reduced (as if that'd even work) while insisting they're not the greedy ones. Wasn't there a name for that season? Chrimbmus? Castmouse? Shillmax?

Oh, right. Troll hunting season.

This reads as "I wish it was on sale for less, because I want to play it. But I can't afford it."
