Rimworld Royalty DLC SHOULD NOT EXIST.
Come on Ludeon studios, we fricking buy the base game for 60 bucks and you turds decide to release a 20 dollar DLC with exclusive "updates" knowing that you'll earn more money.
Atleast let us early buyers get it for free, we shouldnt have to pay for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ garbage just to get more content

The base game is USD $34.99 and the DLC is $19.99. As Astasia says,

Royalty is not necessary at all for enjoying the game – I don't own it, nor do I care to – and furthermore, the base game has seen several content additions since Royalty's release. You may FEEL you're entitled to the DLC for free but you're not, that simple, nor would your...*cough* "argument"...likely be effective in convincing anyone at all of its worth. You don't even get the cost of the game right, FFS.

Of course, your behavior in the past also would tend to interfere with your desires. Did you forget your history here and on Steam in general? People have memories and your profile is public; do you expect anyone to care much about what you say, with that record?!

Again, Astasia said it best: "Nope!" In fact, considering your last go-'round here, I'm moderately pleased by your discomfiture. Deal with it or don't, your choice, but your rage will accomplish exactly nothing.

Ah, you're the fellow who played for 100+ hours and then threw a fit when steam wouldn't let you refund the game. I wish you the best on whatever this warpath of yours is but I cannot agree with it. Indie devs that can bring their passion projects to life deserve every cent of my support and I'm happy to throw it at them.

CDDA is a good indie game, its contributed by other people, its gone far and is great
Royalty is going to be necessary for a lot of the really awesome mods out there. Rimworld is definitely a game you have to give an honest chance to win you over on. You naturally get better at the game the more you try to do better. It shares that with Dwarf Fortress and Factorio really well.

Not really, no. Non-Royalty player here, and I've currently got Hospitality, Genetic Rim, Rimsenal, Save Our Ship 2 and more race mods than I can shake a fist at running on a save without any problems from lack of Royalty.

Neither should World of Warcraft. Your point?

Oh really? I actually didn't know that since I have Royalty. I just know that my mod list of 280+ mods I run the game with probably wouldn't be possible without the DLC.

There absolutely will be passion projects that run different models and many that will barely scrape by. Like Dwarf Fortress or Elona or Haven & Hearth, these games basically pulled in no money or cost the creators money to produce, maintain, and update. Great games, tons of fun, and the second I can throw them money I will.

I don't want indie devs pulling from their savings for my enjoyment. They're sharing their creativity and passion and joy with me and I want to give them my appreciation.
Royalty is kinda lacking in content.

I mean whats there is solid but its less than what would be in a Vanilla Expanded release.

Its great content and I really enjoy it, but you probably wouldnt miss out on it too much in a lightly modded game. And heavily modded well... you may never even interact with the DLC content for hundreds and hundreds of hours.

If you want it then get it. Its worth the price and its good. If a little light.

If you dont want it, then dont worry. Your not missing out on a crucial exclusive experience that cripples and ruins the main game if play it without.

It's ok. You don't have to worry about missing out.

And with a game ban too... the mark of shame that never expires
