Yeah, in my opinion it's good to do a couple of vanilla games periodically if you usually play modded just to palate cleanse. It lets you see what differences your mods are making, for better or worse, and to identify if they're screwing something up that you wouldn't have noticed otherwise.

Do you keep some of the interface ones? Blueprints, etc?

I play vanilla pretty consistently for game testing and you really don't need the UI/qol things. The three mods I miss most are colored mood bars, wall lights, and deep storage. Everything else is just dressing.

Tbh I could never to full vanilla, but I do enjoy an occasional round of small qol mods only
I'd seriously miss the storage mods. I'm not even sure what the stack limit is for food items in vanilla these days, but i know i'd need a much bigger freezer.

Yeah, I could do without a lot of mods but not without rational storage, underground conduits (just don't like looking at them), and UI mods.

My 27x27 freezer is feeling smaller and smaller these days. Only have 15 colonists too. It's rarely even 60% occupied though. I just like having stockpiles for things i might get in large quantities from time to time.
