Wool production
Are there any stats available on wool production time by type of animal eg. Muffalo vs. Dromadary vs. Alpaca vs. Megasloth?

From http://rimworldwiki.com

Muffalos
Wool Amount 100 muffalo wool
Shearing Interval 30 day

Alpacas
Wool Amount 120 alpaca wool
Shearing Interval 15 days

Dromedaries
Wool Amount 100 camelhair
Shearing Interval 30 days

Megasloth
Wool Amount 280 megasloth wool
Shearing Interval 50 days

So for wool alone, alpacas are the best. I also believe their hunger rate is half of muffalos and dromedaries, so they're easier to feed.

Those numbers aren't accurate.

Alpaca is 100 wool every 15 days.
Megasloth is 400 wool every 50 days.
Muffalo is 100 wool every 25 days with 12 milk every 2 days.
Dromedary is 100 wool every 25 days and 10 milk every 2 days.

Taken directly from the game files.

Ok cool. So Alpaca short term and Megasloth long term when you are more settled. Will get some meat from my dromedary soon then!

Also take into account all wool is not created equal

I wonder why there is no info ingame when you click on a tamed animal.

Thanks for looking this up. Couldn't find it in Rimworld wiki either, when searching for Alpaca Wool :)

This is so old that it is no longer accurate.

There is some info in-game, I don't think this is in though, however I do agree it should be.

For the in-game info that is there, look for the lower case i in the animals info pane. (Select animal, then look in lower left corner of screen. The lower case i should be in the upper right of that window. You will find those lower case 'i's in many places in game. Make sure to look at them.

Remember this is from 2017, at a minimum those that previously gave milk do not for the most part anymore.
