Need help with Sunblocker quest.

I accepted the sunblocker quest, beat the enemies, but have no way to destroy the machine. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

I am not sure you met the same bug than me, I had to attack a camp with a weather controller, I destroyed the enemies easily, but the controller was inside a building and invisible, I clicked around and finally found it (without being able to actually see it on the screen.), then I forced my melee to destroy it and it worked, quest completed.

it wasn' invisible, but i had no option to destroy it, after several frustrating trips back in forth, i brought ieds, set them up around the machine, "rescued" a boomalope right next them, then shot it to death. bing bang boom.

I thought I'd run into the same issue, so sent my caravan home to grab some dynamite... As soon as the caravan was reformed, it said the sunblocker had been destroyed! Except it's not. It's still there.

i ended up reloading, and bringing a bunch of ieds and shooting them next to the machine

I've always just clicked the force fire button on my drafted pawns and selected the sunblocker or weather controller as the target they then fire into it damage and eventually destroy it.

it didnt let me target the machine manually

I know the problem. I had to use dev mode to remove the machine in the end - once on an event map and once on the home map. It is a bug.

got the bug now, ended upp using DEV to map destroy the sunblocker camp site.

good idea to bring grenades in your caravan, even if nobody has them equipped
