negative "filth" thickness
<thing Class="Filth">
<def>FilthDirt</def>
<id>FilthDirt937207</id>
<map>0</map>
<pos>(147, 0, 162)</pos>
<thickness>-929</thickness>
<growTick>8554909</growTick>
</thing>

have had this pop up twice so far in my colony and i cant seem to see what ends up triggering it. first one was on a sterile tiles which i thought prevented collecting dirt in the first place. the other patch (which is the one above) was on a limestone flagstone that was a exterior pathway between buildings. removing the line from the save file clears the tile of "negative dirt" and colonists no longer mindlessly gawk at the tile trying to wipe up negative matter.

** i do use mods but both of these were not on a tile with a modded item on it. so something else is likely triggering a negative value for the variable.

Modded animal with an invalid filth setting?
Jackal Nov 24, 2017 @ 3:20am
fairly certain im not running any modded creatures (aside from the pawns themselves. obviously) but aside from recently adding the doormat mod to try and combat this none of the mods i have running directly influence filth/dirt buildup (it ended up being dirt on all four* of the cases i've had so far)

getting a tad repetitive having to open up the fairly large save file to delete the negative filth lines...

Do you use VGP garden tools? Have you used it to make any new dirt tiles on your map? Or any other mod that changes or adds terrain?

Can't really tell too much from that error, so all I can really do is take shots in the dark.

yes. VGP is installed. suppose when i get frustrated with dealing with negative matter and start a new save ill remove the mod to see if i get any more

Just ran into the same negative filth issue. Mine was a FilthAnimalFilth.

Found:
<thing Class="Filth"> <def>FilthAnimalFilth</def> <id>FilthAnimalFilth1927122</id> <map>0</map> <pos>(265, 0, 159)</pos> <thickness>-375</thickness> <growTick>15997757</growTick> </thing>

in my save file. Confirmed that the negative thickness grows as pawns attempt to clean it. Also have VGP installed. Only other mod I have that alters floors is one that allows for straw floors.
