Why is there no 0.9, 0.75, 0.5 UI scaling options?
Why is are there only >1 options?

Because that's the only way to get to 11?

I don't understand you. The developers made an option to double, triple, even quadriple the UI size yet none to make it any degree smaller.

What are you talking about?

Coming here to request the same. Some mods (like More Floors) add so many options to in-game menus that on a smaller screen like 1366x768 resolution, 2/3 of the screen is occupied by available option listings. That leaves very little space to select where that nice new floor is supposed to go!

I'd love a 0.75x or 0.5x option for such a small screen; conversely I love having the 2x option for my living room TV. :)

I don't think the UI options were made with mods in mind, they were made in the case of super small menus on very high definition monitors.

I have heard you can edit those values yourself with success though.

You can find that value in the prefs.xml file which would be located in the config folder. Here is the location for a default steam install:

C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\LocalLow\Ludeon Studios\RimWorld by Ludeon Studios\Config

Try changing:

<uiScale>1</uiScale>

to something with your desired number in there:

<uiScale>.75</uiScale>

Let us know how that works if you try it.

dont necro old threads, it's just necro spam for those that were subbed to it a long time ago.

I don't think this is really a necro post. The guy who ostensibly necroed it, simply added his own vote to the original post. Would you have preferred he make a new topic, with the same request, but without the original poster's opinion to add weight to it?

this was a dead post from 3 months ago.
it would be better to just make a new thread.

Not going to do that just because you couldn't unsubscribe way back when. The topic is still relevant to me and maybe others, the title is specifically what I was wondering about. Just unsub if you don't like it.

Sorry for resurrecting this thread but I just wanted to let anyone else know who comes across this issue that this solution worked for me! Thanks

^--- Agree!

As long as there isn't a fairly identical sort of question thread on recent forum pages, necro threads aren't "Bad" by default.

Some answers can be, though, if the game has gone through iterations that have made obsolete/orphaned some mechanics//features.

I will bring up the idea to Tynan, however, it's not a bad one. So no necroposting warnings this time.
