Trine 6 will now launch March 4, 2027.

Thank you to everyone who signed up for, played, and shared feedback during our recent Private Playtest. With your help, we now have a much clearer picture of what’s working and where Trine 6 has room to improve.

We will be taking some extra time to add a whole new way to experience puzzles throughout the game, giving our heroes more ways to shine, and improving combat, camera behavior, onboarding, and online multiplayer systems.

You can read more about what that means in our full development update here: https://trineseries.com/2026/08/24/trine-6-new-release-date-and-development-update/

We know this means waiting a little longer, but we’re confident that the extra time will let us act on what we heard and ultimately create a better adventure for longtime fans, players discovering Trine for the first time, and everyone in between.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to play the Trine 6 demo during Steam Next Fest!

We’ve been working on the game for a long time now, and it’s always an exciting moment for the team to finally get the game in front of players for the first time. We were especially happy to see so many players enjoying the demo, sharing it with friends and family, and getting excited for their next co-op adventure. Hearing that enthusiasm means a lot to the team.

As we’ve spent the last few weeks reading through all of your feedback on the demo, it’s been refreshing to see the thoughtful discussion around what feels new, what feels familiar, what is and isn’t working, and what players hope to see from the full adventure.

As the demo is only a small, somewhat out-of-context slice of the game, we want to continue the conversation with a more structured, intentional playtest that covers a wider breadth of the Trine 6 experience. This will help us gather more focused and actionable feedback across different levels, player groups, and types of challenges in the context of the full game.

Sign-ups for this playtest are open now! The playtest will run for a week, with playtesters being accepted starting on Monday, July 27. You can sign up for the playtest today at

Thank you again for your feedback and for being part of the conversation. We appreciate the discussion and the enthusiasm to help make Trine 6 the best it can be. We look forward to continuing it with you soon!

Hello everyone!

The Trine 6: Together in Time demo is out now as part of Steam Next Fest. Check it out here:

https://store.steampowered.com/app/4794460/Trine_6_Together_in_Time_Demo/

Trine 6 is a new co-op-first puzzle platforming adventure built for solo play or 1–4 player local and online co-op. The demo offers a small sample of the full game, giving you a first look at its platforming, puzzles, combat, and teamwork-focused adventure.

You’ll be able to play choose from all five heroes: Amadeus, Zoya, Pontius, and two brand-new playable characters, Moira and Adrius. You’ll also get access to the first tiers of hero skill unlocks, introducing new upgrades and ways for characters to interact with the world and its enemies.

The demo includes two levels, one focused on co-op platforming, and the other on combat:

• The Isle of Souls

• The party looking for a familiar spirit on the mysterious island of the dead. Once they find what they’re looking for, they must make their daring escape.

• The Hearty Quag

• Push through a dangerous bog filled with Belvedek’s Shrubling minions, then take on Grim, a boss born from your own inner darkness.

As a reminder, the demo is only a small slice of the full game. It does not include the full game’s many additional levels, puzzles, enemy encounters, secrets, challenges, or later hero skill unlocks. Some puzzles, platforming challenges, and combat encounters may also change based on player feedback, and demo progress will not transfer to the full game.

If you try the demo, we’d love to hear what you think in the comments or reviews!

Please wishlist to help us spread the word, and don’t forget to invite friends to play along with you on the adventure! We think the game really shines when playing in 2-4 player co-op.

Thank you for playing!

— Frozenbyte / The Trine 6 Development Team

Hello everyone!

We’re excited to officially announce Trine 6: Together in Time, a brand-new adventure coming to Steam on September 17, 2026!

Built around the idea that adventures are better together, Trine 6 is designed for solo play or 1–4 player co-op, either locally on the same machine or with friends online.

What’s new for Trine 6, you ask? This time around, we’ve taken a co-op-first gameplay design approach. Whether you’re solving perilous puzzles, battling cunning creatures, or making your way through tricky platforming challenges, our goal is for every player to have a meaningful role to play. You’ll need to work together, communicate, and coordinate your actions to overcome the adventure ahead.

Of course, Trine 6 can still be enjoyed solo. Updated puzzle designs make sure players who prefer to go it alone can take on the full adventure themselves.

Players will journey through the beautifully handcrafted fantasy world of Trine that they know and love, now with new puzzles, improved combat, and, for the first time ever, two new playable heroes: Moira and Adrius.

Moira and Adrius are two young adventurers who find themselves in over their heads when a heist goes wrong, accidentally binding their fate to that of the realm’s greatest heroes: Amadeus, Zoya, and Pontius.

These new characters introduce fresh playstyles and play an important role in the story of Trine 6.

We’ve also introduced a new Time Slow ability, giving players a bit of extra control when it matters most. Slow down the world around you to help line up precise jumps, react to danger, dodge incoming attacks, or simply create a little breathing room during chaotic moments.

And the best thing yet: you won’t have to wait very long to dive in.

We’re happy to share that a Trine 6 demo will be available starting June 15 during Steam Next Fest! The demo will give you an early hands-on look at the game’s platforming, puzzles, combat, and co-op-focused adventure.

If you’re excited for the next Trine adventure, wishlisting the game and playing our demo on Steam really does help us make sure it reaches more players. So please do us a solid: wishlist Trine 6, and feel free to invite a friend or two (or three!) who might want to join you on the adventure.

We can’t wait to share more with you soon, and we’re especially excited for you to try the demo during Steam Next Fest. Be sure to join us on our Discord[discord.gg] to let us know what you think!
