DISAPPOINTING: Final Fantasy XIII is a bad port. REALLY BAD PORT.
DISAPPOINTING: Final Fantasy XIII is a bad port - Play it on the PS3 if you got the console to boot.

Clearly this is a straight port of the Xbox 360 version and not the PS3 version, and not even a better one at that.

720p resolution looks damn bad on my 1080p monitor. I was expecting 1080p 60fps since this damn game is 4 years old! That's a granny game in terms of gaming lifespan!

The framerate issue is terrible. On my G55VW with a GTX660M, it runs an average of 24 - 28 fps (it hits 40fps at times but come-on, should have locked it to 30fps instead). It even drops to a mere 18fps. You gotta be kidding me!

There are no Graphical Settings to tweak to make the game run smoother at least.

This is just terrible. I've played it on the PS3 before and I wanted to dip into the story once more. I wish Steam has a refund policy in place.

You're using a notebook so perhaps that's why the FPS is low.

Although I do agree, this port should have been done better.

It can't be a straight port of the 360 version because the 360 version didn't even run at 720p. It was sub-720p.

where's the angry mob that almost killed everyone who said that it would be a bad port and kept posting articles saying that FF13 would not be a port...? Of course it's a port, who the ♥♥♥♥ will spent more money on this terrible game?

I know... :( I love the FF series and they could have done better here. Way way better... This is the PC for Christ's sake.

I mean, look at other console ports (Metal Gear Rising, Castlevania Lords of Shadow, Ensalved) that runs super smooth with everything maxed out on my laptop.

This is a gaming Laptop afterall. GTX660M has 2GB GDDR5 of VRAM... I can't can't believe this. (*boots up the PS3 and starts a new game in FF13*tears)

it is an awful port

I got the post preorder blues with it too. I can't complain. I should have waited. I bet this title will be heavily discounted shortly.

I hate that they couldn't bother to make a real exit for the game. Hit "esc'" and the game quits no matter where you are. That's crappy. Granted, you could exit the console ver. at any time, but at least the console gives you a warning.

I am getting around 30-40 fsp with my Asus G74SW (w/Nvidia GTX 560). I have a newer system but didn't think this game would neeed that horsepower. The GTX660 should be good enough to handle this game smoothly.

I should add that my fps is with Nvidia 3D Vision. The game does look amazing in 3D on the big screen. The interface in combat is a bit distracting, but someone might fix the shaders for that.

Yeah, I have some post-preorder blues as well.

I got too excited... I should have waited.

My download is almost done, so I'll see how bad it is shortly.

Durante's alpha version resolution fix is up, and SE is 99% addressing this already so just be patient for a bit, i am pretty sure you can enjoy the game with the alpha fix though.

huh it looks better than PS3 version particularly with durante its not even close.

They need to fix the framepacing and x-input though.

Okay, download finished and just tried it out.

- Running on full-screen crashed after the Square Enix logo.
- I am only able to run Windowed.
- The video cutscenes have random stutters.
- The gameplay itself dips below 60fps at various times.

I'm very disappointed.

My System:
- Core i7 4770k
- 16 gigs RAM
- 512gb SSD
- Radeon R9 290 4gb
I'm having a great time with the game so far. Very happy with my purchase and glad it is finally on PC. Only problem I have is the fact that ESC closes the game.... done that a few times so far LOL. Otherwise, game runs great and looks good too.

I think you can just report the game on Store Page, Steam will do something if they get enough reports, I guess.
