Cursor stuck on screen outside of menus and dialogue
As said above, I was playing in the blood and wine expansion, just talked to the guys that ran out of the cave if it matters, and the cursor was stuck on the screen afterwards. It was visible when it wasnt supposed to be, as it moved around at the same time my view moved around. It was very annoying, and I was wondering if anyone else had the same issue?

same issue but today

As I recall it's not as much of a game bug as it is a graphical error that could happen in almost any game.

90% of the time you can fix it with Alt-Tab in and out of the game or reloading a save. Some time you need to restart the game entierly.

Giving a clear word to support the fact The Witcher 3 was still surprisingly well developed. It took a lot of courage and emotion from developers to put a very detailed voice acting and role-playing. There are even people who put tons of hours and days creating/editing the wikia pages, guides, youtube videos. It feels like those people contributed to the community and CD Project Red.

You've got to be kidding. Nearly all of those web pages, particularly the wikia ones, "borrowed" heavily from the Prima Guide which was based on the pre-alpha version of the game. And nearly all of them cut 'n' paste the same information over and over again.

It's a miracle the game runs as well as it does. And it's basically a crap-shoot every single time you play it because you may have a flawless run one time and nothing but glitches the next even though you've made absolutely no changes to any of your settings or your computer.

The developers had no support from management because management did not exist at CDPR. They had no team leaders (and still don't) resulting in issues going unresolved from Day One to release day and beyond. Proof of that is how the game ran on release and how each and every single major patch then proceeded to break the game in a myriad of ways.

The guides are all the same, again, cut 'n' paste for the most part. And the videos too, which persist even now for a four year old game, are mostly just covering the same ground ad nauseum.

But yeah, great game.

/sarcasm
The lead people who designed this game are freaking amateur no doubt about that.. Im stunt how super annoying glitches such as the cursor bug can even slip out like that PC emulated or not.

Doesnt ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ matter tho and why am I here speaking about it instead of playing it..
Its the only game where you can 100% loose your sense of time in it because of the consistent lore, art, environments, quests and characters and also the fact that theres like infinite unique of each.

So when stuff in this game work which is 80%+ of the time then its a perfect constantly entertaining time killer.
So I at this point Ive stop caring that deep down this game was coded in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ way and I just wanna keep playing.
Now if I get it right, to fix the cursor glitch you need to load a save is that correct?

OMG, I cannot stop laughing at this! Seriously? Well optimized and very few bugs... Yes, graphics are SO stunning that most players use at least a dozen or more mods to enhance them.

The game has dozens of bugs and glitches can occur at almost anytime due to how it was coded. Sneeze at the wrong freaking time and you can incur a glitch, but yeah, it's well optimized.

If you don't mind rain indoors and underground. If you don't mind bright as day night cycles. If you don't mind NPCs and even your horse ending up stuck in the environment. If you don't mind falling down a flight of stairs because your character cannot seem to navigate them to save his life. (A mod supposedly exists that can fix that, by the way. Odd thing to have to exist in such a "perfect" game, wouldn't you say?)

Quests can bug out without notice. Contracts can become glitched if done before speaking with the contract giver. NPCs can become impossible to interact with unless you meditate for some magical amount of time. Trees in forested areas bend like rubber bands, in the most unnatural manner ever seen in any game. Crackling sounds of twigs in same forests are so loud and persistent they are more reminisent of a forest fire than as a representation of natural wind blowing throught that forest. Lag persists in over-populated areas and Skellige is still pretty much a mess with all sorts of problems everywhere.

I love how deluded people persist in declaring the game perfect despite the hundreds of threads on here, on CDPR's official forum and on reddits for these past three and a half years to the contrary.

Yes, it's a well-optimized hot mess of crap. LOL

SMH

Calm down there hot rod. Clearly you have put a lot of hours into the game and have noticed these details but I personally experienced very few bugs, especially none that actually affected my gameplay, throughout my 250 hours of game time. I'm on my second playthrough. I simply do not understand how you had so many at a consistent rate. Also you're talking about the graphics not being good enough without mods? To me they look great (although I agree they could have been better optimized) and that's saying a lot for the settings I run on. Honestly, to me, all of this is just sounds like you exaggerating, acting like this game is bug ridden on a Bethesda level and/or wanting to find something to ♥♥♥♥♥ about because you can't look at the positives. If this stuff was just SO annoying to you then why do you have over 1000 hours into it lmfao. And don't even say "Because it's still a good game regardless", then why don't you quiet down and have some respect for the developers and for the community here.

EDIT: Just realized you sarcastically said "yeah, great game" aaaaand still put over 1000 hours into it. So not a great game huh? Don't have to lie man, we all know how amazing it is.

Listen mother-Fer you sound more dictatorous then my discords admin.
But theres like 90% chances that this person wrote this comment from a democratic state so I guess he has rights of opinion and stuff and that opinion is not half wrong if you ask me or anybody to the matter of fact..

Some people experience plenty of bugs all through out.. actually I dont recall a playthrough where I havent seen one (and I got 85 hours on it)
some are harmless or hilarious like the roach spawning inside of a house, tho if I walk couple of meters I can spawn him out side, nothing serious just silly.
But there game breaking bugs too like the cursor bug which is self explanatory in this thread but also a lot more like that one where you cant draw your weapon, I think you can fix is by keybinding... still annoying tho.
What about all the inconsistent sound mixing, extreme blurring amd freaking more..

Hey, wanna hear something? The lead programmers are freaking amateurs.
Theres nothing to argue here because its freaking fact.

What youre talking about here is that we should glorify the crazy amounts of details, huge world, endless quests, characters, monster verity, codex and environments... and you’re absolutely right, the creative devs of this game are freaking work horses and its insane how much time you can waste on it without it even getting old even once.
But its not a perfect game and not admitting to its flaws means you dont really care about improving their next installment but just to make them lazy out.
If you didn’t experience those bugs doesnt mean no one else did,
Some people having different gaming experience with their degital copies,
Which mean this game on the PC is not very adjustable.

So having this amount of bugs+your eye need to adjust to the constant environments blur and painful color pallet+the overwhelming progression mechanics would set off any new player in an instant of a blink.
Which is what happened to me almost until I tried it again after a year and finally got used to it.

All Im saying we are not spitting into people’s hard work, we are targeting the freaking men-childs that worked at programming this port because there is more then valid criticism to this game to say the least.

In other games you have to tab out and in again. In some you have to reboot the game.

Unless the developers or the community finds a fix, this issue will remain persistent.

I am also experiencing this issue and I think it is totally messed up that project red won't do anything to fix a problem on a game that has surpassed 50 million buys recently. I paid $40 dollars for this game a couple of weeks ago; these problems are inexcusable, I also have random crashes to the desktop with this game even though I once had a A+ certification and my computer is up to date on all software and cooling is not a issue.

If you guys (project red) don't want to do anything about these issues then either the price of the game should be lowered when not on sale or Steam itself should make a list of known bugs that the company refuses to fix and list that on the game's store page or pin it as a topic on the forums.

Hey guys, I FINALLY found a PERMANENT FIX for the mouse cursor showing in game play bug!!!
All you have to do is go into OPTIONS, then VIDEO, then HUD CONFIGURATION, then scroll down to the very bottom, and select "TURN OFF THE BLOODY ANNOYING MOUSE CURSOR DURING GAME PLAY."
Once you have done that, reboot your PC 4 times, unplug your mouse, dip it into a jar of honey, then plug it back into your PC. Then it should work.
