AA broken with 1.05
It is only with me? AA stoped to work here.

Edit: As some are reporting that the AA works, let's try to narrow options by informing the Driver version and other information we are using.

Mine is nVidia 353.06
GPU is EVGA 970SC ACX
Win8.1

A couple of tests resulted in interesting things:

- nVidia Driver 347.88 actually has a little performance increase (!!!) in this game. Average fps increase is around 2 or 3 for 970sc overclocked.
- TextureMipBias is set to -1 on ultra settings (the texture quality control this). Increasing this value to -0.7~-0.4 help reduce the jagginess caused by absent blurry from AA (and yes, the value MUST be NEGATIVE)
- Blurry in AA: this is what is missing. AA is still working but the blur filtering isn't present. We can compare this to MSAA 2x. (look for window edge to observe this more easily)

I dont know what they tweaked in the graphics engine in 1.05 but I'm not happy. You may be right, things look 'edgy' now. And my framerate has taken a significant hit.
Why did they have to mess with something that wasn't broken grrrr.

What is AA?
Why to use abbreviations when they are not clear?

I'm having the opposite effect. Turn off HBAO, chromatic eyesore, and AA. Reload-all enabled again...Cutscenes are smoother, but CDProjekt needs to spend less time hyping games and more time making them run properly.

AA stands for Anti Aliasing. I'm amazed that somebody that plays on PC don't know this...

I think the games works fine. It's just the fine image tweaks that don't work very well

AA looks to be working fine in my game. /shrug

To bad It's not a true AA It's an ingame hobby version that really sucks.
Miss the old days were you have crapload of AA option you could fiddle with.

Same here, AA seems to have been broken troughout the installation of 1.05 :(
Hope, they fix it with the next patch. Ruins a lot of fun to see this great-looking game that way :(
Sir Thanks-A-Lot 5 Jun, 2015 @ 11:52am

Thank you :)
I never heard that abbreviation before, always used anti aliasing. After all AA stands for so many other things already and so it is a perfect example of a completely useless and misleading abbreviation. BTW english is not my first language.

It's a very commonly used abbreviation in PC gaming. Hardly useless and definitely not misleading.

I noticed this as well, AA seems to be off. Another graphicsl nerf it seems.
Udju 5 Jun, 2015 @ 12:00pm
for me the framerate dropped slightly after this patch :(

AA stopped working for me with 1.04 and is working again with 1.05.
