SPOILERS: Quest "A Matter of Life and Death" glitch
Is anyone having a problem moving on in this side quest and thus other side quests that involve Triss, because Triss will not recognize that you have already purchased the fox mask?

i am having where the side quest for her to ask you for help getting the mages out of the city side quest not showing up at all after the gala.

There is two different Fox masks in the shop. Purchase both and you should be able to move forward.

I now have 5 wolf masks, a bird mask and a harlequin mask - but no matter how many times I check the store, exit and recheck the fox mask never appears. I've checked every slot, multiple times.

Sorry to hear that. When i went back to the mask shop it was in the first slot in the store. Its a orange fox mask, and not the silver one.

I can confirm this. Fox (orange version of the Silver Wolf Mask) was there, the quest updates, and the mask is in the quest items part of inventory. Might be worth going back to a different save point before this. Testing now to see if i can spawn more than one fox mask
