No DLC....
So, after trying to install mods, I think I have ♥♥♥♥♥♥ it. My DLC is no longer showing up. I have tryed uninstaling and reinstaling just the DLC. I am not sure what else to do out side of deleting and reinstaling from scratch.

Hello, if your mods from nexus then maybe you missed some extra mod files for DLCs...or maybe mods aren`t updated even to 1.3.1 ? there is a lot of dead mods there...and of course, try to check game files in steam library.

If the mods made any changes to the DLC folder structure, you may run into issues with dlcs not showing up.
you gotta detele any file/folder that either you or your mods added to the DLC folder in the witcher 3 directory, there should be a folder named bob, ep1, and there should be 16 folders named DLC1,DLC2,DLC3...DLC16 if you have any other folders (even if empty) in there, delete them.

Did that. Deleted all the stuff in the mod folder too. And I ran a cache virafy. That downloaded 2G, but still did not fix the problom.... Think it might have just downloaded the Patch folders, as I had deleted them.

In the DLC folder, if you own the two expansions, you should also have a folder named ep1 and one named bob. These two are in addition to the 16 folders (DLC1 to DLC16) that are the free DLCs.

If you have any other folder named anything else, delete it. It is what is preventing the game from recognizing your content.

well not really sure then, maybe we could get an idea of what you have to do to fix it if you could tell us exactly which mod you installed, hopefully you didn't installed too many at once x)

Ok, my bad. There was a folder I missed in the DLCs. It was called bin, so my head aoutoed that it should be there and I left it. hahaha. All working again. XD

Now if only I can get all the mods to work...

make sure you follow the install instructions for the mods, also make sure you read the posts from other users in the nexus page, if you see too many people saying "needs to be updated, or this mod is broken" don't use it.
Also when installing mods, install one at a time and test it after installing it, worst thing is to break the game and not even know which mod did it.

Do you think it would be better to manul instal? I was uesing Vortex, but I am not 100% sure its doing its job properly. lol

Use The Witcher 3 Mod manager, that plus script merger should be able to install pretty much any mod for witcher 3 with a simple click without having to worry too much, during script mergers you might have to do some manual merging but as long as you watch the video tutorial on youtube its quite easy to solve conflicts that way.

Again, make sure you read the instructions for each mod you install, not every mod will be installed the same way, some may require doing things that messes with the vanilla files, and in those cases always make backup , and don't forget, whicher 3 has a hard limit on how many mods you can have at any given time ( i believe its mostly related to texture mods) (there are ways around that but don't worry about that until you run into the limit).
