Story Progression

The final chapter of the main story has been unlocked.

Event Scene Improvements and Additions

Improved the presentation of 3D event scenes.
Added new 2D event scenes that are planned to replace some existing event scenes.
- Some scenes can be viewed from specific locations in the game.
- All scenes can be viewed after reaching the ending.

2D Graphics Updates

Renewed 2D graphics such as character standees.
Renewed the images used in event scenes.

New Weapons and Balance Adjustments

Added new firearms.
Adjusted the ability-scaling bonuses for melee weapons.
Adjusted the ability-scaling bonuses for stats.

Bug Fixes

Fixed reported bugs.

Chapter 2 things; well, starting from a new game anyway. :)

Don't have much time at the moment (end of financial year/Christmas/etc), but just a few notes from starting a new game. * Colour of your shell casings from shooting is very similar to the colour of the gold; maybe tint the shell casings a little more orange? * First level basic melee guys, and second level spiders are a bit too difficult to see. The other monsters which have some sort of glow effect are nice, but maybe give the lower level "scratched to death" mobs a little more contrast? I don't mind th...

Solendara: Chapter 2 Update Notes

Chapter 2 Progression Unlocked

The story progression for Chapter 2 is now available.
New event scenes have been added.
New weapons and abilities are introduced.

Enhanced Stats Effects

Divinity: Affects the power of certain abilities. In addition to story progression, hidden quests and special equipment now provide additional Divinity points.
Doctrine Insight: Increases the total resources needed to use abilities. Required for unlocking specific events and acquiring unique equipment.
Depth of Faith: Boosts recovery from consumables. Also necessary for unlocking certain events and acquiring special equipment.
Enchanting Presence: Plays a role in unlocking certain events and obtaining unique equipment.

Impact of Melee Weapons on Abilities

The power of melee weapons now directly influences the effectiveness of abilities using those weapons. The degree of impact varies by ability.
Adjustments have been made to the performance of melee weapons.

Other Updates

Exploration relics can now be reused after a set amount of time.
Overall weapon and ability balance has been fine-tuned.
The cooldown for Dash has been shortened.
A new opening sequence has been added.
Improvements have been made to illustrations in mini-scenes.

Bug Fixes

Bugs reported via the Survey feature have been resolved.
Fixed an issue where characters could freeze after using abilities under specific conditions.

Storyline

The main storyline continues.
New abilities and weapons have been added.
Depending on the storyline, some abilities and weapons are flame-related.

Mature Contents

Added new cinematics and illustrated mini-scenes.
The new scenes are designed to be more dynamic.

Combat and Exploration Changes

Bonuses have been added to some stats.

These stats, which are used for hidden events and are useless unless they reach a certain value, have been changed to have intrinsic value.
Doctrine Insight: Increasing this stat by 1 increases EN by 1.
Depth of Faith: Increasing this stat by 1 increases medic kit recovery by 5.

The percentage of damage corrected by weapons for Hammer abilities has been increased.

The damage of hammer abilities due to weapon attack power, which currently reflects less than 20%, has been changed to be heavily influenced by the weapon equipped. The percentage will vary depending on the ability.
With this change, the damage of hammer abilities from weapon attack power will change from 0.4x to 2.8x.
With this change, the overall balance of melee weapons has been readjusted.

Dungeon Structure Changes

The structure of the dungeon has changed since Chapter 2, as the boss fights have become more intense and may require more retries.
Instead of having the boss monster right before the goal, a new stage has been added only for the boss battle.

Exploration and Combat Enhancements

I have made several new exploration and combat improvements based on the direction of the game and feedback I have received. More details will be available in the Chapter 2 Update Patch.

Also some form of settings for sound/resolution/etc. The music drowns out the voiced dialog at times.

Upcoming Update Plans

I've decided to shift my focus to accelerating the development of Chapter 2, which has been experiencing some delays. However, Before I roll out the Chapter 2 update, I plan to make some adjustments to ammo and green chests, and I'll add an UI for the stat-related objects remaining on the map. Any remaining updates that require more time will be released simultaneously with the Chapter 2 update....
