BUGFIX: For anyone who cannot save/load or whose game crashes after making the sock, this worked for me

I decided to load this game up again recently to see if the developers who released it had updated it all to fix the issues with the game.

Turns out, they had not fixed it. However, there is a fix. Someone was kind enough to link it me to this in a previous thread - http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Fairy_Tale_About_Father_Frost,_Ivan_and_Nastya

the two things you need to do:
1) to fix the inability to save/load - go into your steamapps folder, and copy the game directory folder to your root C drive. The folder is called "morozko", i literally just copied it out and load the game from the executable within the folder now.

2) to fix the crash after completing the sock - as per the wiki above, go to command prompt and type in

regsvr32 "%WINDIR%\SysWOW64\ir50_32.dll"

exactly as shown on the line. Apparently if you have 32 bit windows you instead of SysWOW64, you just type system32.

note: the wiki says you have to undo this later or it might mess up other applications by typing regsvr32 /u "%WINDIR%\SysWOW64\ir50_32.dll"


anyways, I cant take credit for either of those fixes, but I just wanted to confirm for people that they do work. Well they worked for me anyway, running windows 7 64bit.

Another fix for the videos would be to replace the "bad" videos.

Inside game-directory in the directory "cpal", create a file named "docopy.bat" and insert the following text

This will replace all Intel Video movies with the logo-movie, which is just an mpeg-file.
It would be very easy for the publisher to fix this. They would only need to recode the movies.

For the cutscene crash, after you complete the sock, I simply used windows XP compatibility.
