Unfortunately, the arcade mode is mostly not in German and therefore not playable

I just finished a run on difficulty 3, beating the final boss. I clicked confirm at the end, but noticed that I did not unlock the character you should receive for beating difficulty 3. I also have another character still locked that says difficulty 1 when you mouse over the unlock details. Am I missing something here or is there a bug?...

Is there a trick or specific character to use that I haven't seen yet? There just aren't too many harvesting upgrades in a run, and endless gives you harvesting degrade. Is it total RNG?
