METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN

please add proper 21:9 display support - UPDATED WITH COMMUNITY FIX
update : as for now a single man has beaten the developer to provide us with 21:9 fix

warning : the fix is involving a modified .exe, essentially comparable to a crack, it may disable certain features like MP and so far it may require a new version to work with each new patches... someone is saying that achievements are still working but one specific that is tied to server...

do this at your own risk

the fix is here

http://www.wsgf.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=160611&sid=870c4c7877f770c7cc0610d3394ba248#p160611

here is the tutorial on how to fix the aspect ratio for yourself, you can even do this for non 21:9 aspect ratio

http://www.wsgf.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=160680#p160680

IMPORTANT NOTE, the fix is also evolving with game patches, BETTER LOOK AT THE WHOLE THREAD from wsgf and search for the latest fixes posted there than simply using the one above because the one above was made for the 1.0 .exe

just replace your .exe with the correspondent resolution you use

thanks so much to that guy

we can still hope for official fix though

ORIGINAL THREAD

[TITLE]
please add proper 21:9 display support or we would have to resort to modify .exe to get 21:9 rendering working like in GZ

Because that is what happened with GZ, to make GZ run properly on a 21:9 display, someone modified GZ exe from a cracked version

which is kind of ironic, a bunch of amateurs can add proper 21:9 support while the dev refused it...

another irony is that this fiasco happened on a game series that were infamous for being movie-game

to add further insult, didn't Kojima himself said to promise a proper 21:9 support for TPP?

seriously what's so hard to add this? the hacked GZ already proven that the game engine could perfectly support it by external hack

21:9 is a must.. it's very disappointing to have black bars on the sides :(

thx for the voice everyone!

let's bump this twice a day, one for the american dev and one for the japanese dev, you know, time zone difference...

we want the promised proper 21:9 support, not this lazyness with adding black bars on the sides and call it 2560x1080/3440x1440!

i am with you guys. Dell U2913WM
21:9 is the way of the future, plenty of games support it, and through the GZ mod clearly the Fox Engine can handle it. Why isn't this supported natively?

I love the game, but seeing black bars on teh screen really takes you out of it once you are used to playing games in 21:9.

Come, on. The game runs like butter, looks great.. I know it is not programming prowess that is holding this back.

Please also add support for multi-montior resolutions for Nvidia Surround and Eyefinity.

I have a LG 3440x1440 monitor and was especially looking forward to TPP...got GZ working ok with the mod, but installed this and to see the black bars either side was disapointing.

I hope someone provides a work around for 21:9 soon, would love to experience the game in a nice format.
