Patch Version 1.0.1 Released (public branch)
EDIT: locking thread since version 1.3 patch has been released. We'll pin a new thread when the next patch rolls out.

Hi everyone,

Separate from the split screen coop beta branch is a brand new official patch, Version 1.0.1, that addresses several issues that were reported in the original Bug Reporting thread.

Patch Notes
  • Reverted rendering profile to original shipping version (note: to avoid animation stutter, you may have to set frame rate to "60" or "30" in-game and enable v-sync)
  • Dynamically turn off mouse cursor when a game controller is in use
  • Addressed Raid Mode crash bug.
  • Flipped around Shadow settings between 'High' and 'Low.' Selecting High now actually sets shadow quality to 'High'

If you would like to provide feedback on 1.0.1, please refer to the posting guidelines from the original bug reporting thread when listing your specs and symptoms.

As you can imagine, it becomes extremely difficult to troubleshoot without complete hardware and software setup information. ("Frame rate sucks, do something!" type feedback is really not productive nor helpful for our troubleshooting purposes)

Also, for those using high end gaming laptops such as Nvidia Optimus, please ensure you select "High Performance Nvidia processor" under Manage 3D Settings for rerev2.exe. The option is located within Nvidia Control Panel. Note that some laptop systems may default to Intel's integrated graphics so a manual overide may be necessary. There should be a similar manual override with AMD dual graphics setup.

Snow Stage is at 60 FPS for me now!! It was 15/20 contsantly before the patch, the cursor also disappear so it works fine, I have to try fire stage now!

EDIT: Stage with fire in the background doesn't lag anymore either, I get constant 60FPS while fighting and looking at the fire in the background, awesome, thanks!

Now... maybe add some catch phrases to the begnning and ending of raid like Reve1 or actually have different character model, cause they all looks like they been based on Claire, even Wesker look girlish, and I'll be very very happy, I will even buy red crystals to celebrate this !

Anyway patch is great, big thanks Capcom. You getting your fans back in your pocket, good move!

Still has a lot of framedrops. I wonder what's going on with shaders since RE6 used too many of them without even drop.

1) AMD FX 8320 3.5GHz
2) Asus M5A97 R2.0
3) MSI HD 7770 1Gb DDR5
4) AMD Catalyst 14.12 Omega
5) 8 Gb DDR3 Ram
6) Windows 7 64-bit
7) MSE

I admit that my GPU is a bit faulty, but the game shouldn't be more demanding than RE6. Maxing out RE6 without issue @ 1600x900. But in Rev2, experiencing a lot of framedrops because of : Dust, fog, lights, particles, fire, snow. I'm talking about 30fps drops.

It's hard to maintain 60 fps but I'm playing mostly between 50/60. But with the effects above, I'm dropping to 15 fps. What the hell...

FPS is low in Raid Mode and Raid Mode still have a crash bug.
DviceT5 Mar 3, 2015 @ 4:30am
If my inventory is full (Raid mod) I have to sell stuff but the background is black so I dont see what Im opening or selling (jukebox) is this a feature ? If not fix it plz.

And even with 60 fps I have bad frame drops sometimes. Take your time ofc and fix it but dont let the game die. So far I really enjoy it.

And fix the Hz in options its reset always to 60hz after restart game. Thx

"Addressed Raid Mode crash bug" FALSE FAALSE, still ♥♥♥♥ing crashing....
Nitepro Mar 3, 2015 @ 4:33am
Just tried Raid mode 3-3, which was the map that suffered the biggest hit in framerte for me after the previous patch. Performance is a hundred times better now at a constant 60 FPS. Some slight hitching when the initial waves of enemies spawn in, but nothing too serious and much more preferable to the performance loss.

Thanks for the patch, been dying to play more of this. :rescue:

GTX 960
Windows 7 64 Bit

In case it helps at all.

8) tried everything, all in max, all in min, tried the blocked 60 fps, Vsync ON/OFF, everything

Still having issues about stuttering and low fps, and this is seriously getting on my nerves now, barely one week I bought it, and I can't even play trough the "keys" moment and first encounter with enemies ! Do something really quick capcom !
please wbacon, i already post the dxdiag, and everything on bug thread, kindly check for that? still have the issues (even more) especially on public branch, now im on beta branch which has the same performance like in the previous patch, but stutter still exist, capped at 30 or 60 with vsync on didnt do much help.

When there was a fire and explosions, i had stuttering and frame drops. (raid mode).

Very low = Fire Stage 40fps and stuttering, Snow Stage 56-60 fps.
Stage 3-3 unplayable when there are enemies.
Solo (Campaign) = 60fps but stuttering and drops some places.

Greetings Capcom! Can you make Albert stop using his knife in Follow-Up animation in the Raid Mode please? It looks very wrong.
Futurism Mar 3, 2015 @ 4:55am
I just wanna say that I bought the game even if my specs are under the minimun requirements (So, I think you're gonna say I don't have the right to get some feedback from you). But I can play at constant 30 fps with this conf in the game:

- Refresh rate 60.
- 1024x768
- FPS 30.
- V-sync-on.
- Texture detail high.
- Other options in the lowest.

Just like I said, I can play at constant 30 fps, The only problem I have is the same than most of users, frames go down when I see fire or fog (but the game is still playable at least). By the way, no problem with snow map in raid mode.

Now I show you my system specs:

Operating System: Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit (6.1, Build 7601) Service Pack 1 (7601.win7sp1_rtm.101119-1850)
System Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
System Model: GA-MA78GM-US2H
Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 7750 Dual-Core Processor (2 CPUs), ~2.7GHz
Memory: 4096MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 3326MB RAM
DirectX Version: DirectX 11
Card name: NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT 512 MB GDDR3 256 bit 2 x Dual-Link DVI
Driver Name: nvd3dum.dll,nvwgf2um.dll,nvwgf2um.dll
Manufacturer: NVIDIA
Chip type: GeForce 9800 GT
Driver File Version: 9.18.0013.4144 (English)
Driver Version:

I'm not actually expecting some feed back from you (because I'm under the minimun requirements)

But... maybe this info can help you in some way.

Note: I can play other Resident Evil games from Steam with good performance (1360x768) even if my specs are under the minimun, just like Resident Evil remake HD, Re6, Re Revelation and Re4.

Raizuki Mar 3, 2015 @ 4:59am
surprisingly it fixed all the issues I had with raid mode, even the snow stage runs around 50-60fps now.
