So, since I preordered this under the pretext of the store page saying Local Co-Op.
And now I see that it doesn't.

Who the ♥♥♥♥ is going to give me my money back?
This is absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Contact Valve support and you'll get your refund. It may take a while though.

yeah I submitted a refund ticket, just make sure you don't play the game or else they may not refund you. I'm not going to play this false advertising crapl

I played for the ten minutes I stumbled around trying to find local co-op.

When I discovered it wasn't there, I came here.

I doubt it will matter. They'll understand that you played it for a bit to find out that it lacked local coop. You're in the right here and you should get the refund. They'll give you the refund in steam wallet though, just saying.

I just read that you can't have more than a hour of gameplay, so yes you should be fine.

Also don't worry about the mistake of co-op, the no co-op message was just added into the description a few hours ago.

Is there a specific support ticket I should submit or is it the regular "Purchases and Payments" ticket?
Red Feb 25, 2015 @ 1:50am
Nah, that's totally a lie. As long as you have a solid case you can get your refund just fine. Your total gametime is irrelevant.

OP is sending the ticket the day the game is released.

OP preordered before the no local coop message was added.

OP played the game a bit and found out that there was no local coop, then went to the store to find out that the message has been changed and proceeded to ask for a refund.

You should be fine, Valve will refund you. The problem though is actually getting support to reply to you :P so it may take from a day to 2 weeks, it's a matter of luck really.

Having a real hard time getting my ticket requests in. Keeps giving me a database error.

I'm glad people are pissed off. They can't do this to people.
Yeah I'm submitting a ticket for a refund too. Dirtiest move I think I've ever seen in my 23 years of gaming.

dont forget when capcom put out a RE game that was designed so you couldnt resell it. with only one person who could play it. this is also a good read http://www.cinemablend.com/games/You-Buy-Resident-Evil-6-Don-t-Forget-How-Capcom-Treats-Employees-46620.html

Contacted support@capcom with the expected useless reply:

"Thank you for contacting Capcom customer service. Capcom games on Steam fall under the same policy that Steam has established for all games on their service, and unfortunately Capcom is not able to provide a refund on games purchased through Steam. To pursue a refund further, we recommend contacting Steam support, who can be reached here: https://support.steampowered.com/

For further information, please read section 3 of the Steam subscriber agreement: http://store.steampowered.com/subscriber_agreement/

And the Steam refund policy: https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8360-wejc-2625#refund

We apologize for any inconvenience."

I linked them to proof of Sony's direct refunds for H1Z1 to shut down their argument, but I doubt Capcom will do anything about it. I've also filed a Steam ticket for a refund now too, you can follow any of the support.steampowered.com links and click the button on the right side to contact Steam support. We'll see if that goes anywhere.

i think in the context of the company in question i would have to agree (with the dirtiest move comment). i don't remember any massive scandals involving capcom before this. i mean, after RE1 PC, people just kind of assumed all capcom pc ports would be crap. maybe people like me got spoiled by RE5 and DMC4, but it seems like they were actually making good stuff for PC and backing it up for a while there. sort of.

Worst thing is, that thanks to people on forums, Capcom isnt lazy bastard who dont give a s***about PC (most probable version), but is ACTIVELY scamming customers (which i dont really believe).

Because it is always better to come with some complicated scheme, how big company trying to rip away everything from poor pc gamers, than admit, that they just copy-paste everything from console description and dont care. I dont say its ok, it s***s, but with current pressure, they will probably decide to release online coop earlier (which will have most probably tons of problems), eventually start to work on offline coop and REAL issues as frame drops and crashing there simply wont be resources/time

I can't believe some people like you are naive enough to believe Capcom "made a mistake" miraculously til the day of launch, when people couldn't get quick preorder refunds anymore. Talk about eyes being closed, dude.
