Small Patch - Quality Updates

Greetings, adventurers!

This small update addresses a few minor issues and adds a subtle but (hopefully) impactful visual feature to enhance the player's experience!

Change log:

Fog and mist effects added to select maps
Removed previous DMG nerf from Crossbows to compensate for their lower hit rates
Added a few missing MP costs to skill item cards from the learning screen
Game font can now only be changed from the title screen, however this change has enabled a fix to a previously reported issue where alternate fonts are too big for certain text boxes
Miscellaneous mapping and eventing fixes

I've been very pleased with player reception to Chapter 2 so far and hope to be able to continue developing Chapter 3 (and beyond) with a sense of momentum. Just a reminder, none of the upcoming content will be pushed to the demo moving forward, allowing me to focus on the remainder of the game.

Moonfell demo impressions

Hello! I stumbled upon the demo yesterday and gave it a go today. Here's what I thought of it: + I like that this game focuses on a variety of female characters. There's a lot of story-driven games where the women are sidelined and their relationships undercooked, but the demo bucks this trend hard. I already love Lunara and Estelle and want to see more of them. + The gameplay is good and shows a lot of promise. I am yet to try Expert difficulty, but Normal felt decently challenging without being sluggis...

Chapter 2 Has Arrived!

Greetings, adventurers!

I am proud to announce that the second chapter of Moonfell: the Tides of Aether is now available to the public! This continuation of the story delves further into the mystery of the Artifacts and the Royal Legacy, and introduces one of the primary antagonists our heroes will face throughout their adventure.

Also featured are some enhancements, re-balancing, and bug fixes pertaining to the Prelude and Chapter 1, along with some improvements to dialog and cutscenes.

Chapter 2 Highlights:

Overworld exploration
A new party member
Skill learning system
New dungeons, enemies, and puzzles
More secrets
Equipment upgrade system
Settlements and shops
A new field skill!

While Chapter 2 will be the final block of content released in the public demo, be assured that Chapter 3 (and beyond) are actively in development - stay tuned for more news on the full game!

Chapter 2 & Demo Updates Almost Here!

Greetings, adventurers!

I am pleased to announce that Chapter 2 of Moonfell: the Tides of Aether has reached "alpha" status, meaning it's essentially complete, and undergoing some internal testing before the closed beta and subsequent release to Steam & other platforms.
The timeline is still subject to change depending on what comes about during testing, but I can optimistically say this update should go public within the next week or 10 days.

What can you expect from Chapter 2, and the related updates?
Some of the details are still under wraps of course, but here's a quick preview:

Continue the story of the royal heirs as they learn more about the fall of the kingdom
Learn about the mysterious faction pulling the strings
60-90+ Minutes Additional Content (about the size of the Prelude + Chapter 1)
1 New Playable Character
2 Additional Dungeons
3 Challenging Boss Battles
Equipment Upgrades
Skill Learning System
