free NPC Building places

are they using them? And if ==> how and when?
are there hidden triggers?
for example in DeVries => there are some free NPC building places, are they trying to expand or build up?

I have played a very long time without a restart after path 1.15.
I have tryed a lot in DeVries but they are doing nothing.
I am just wondering because of these free NPC building places.

i've never seen any new NPC stations, so i doubt that they would start building, cause i flooded the deVries system with materials

I have not seen any new NPC stations. In fact all the ones I have damaged are still damaged and not repairing. Perhaps I inadvertently interrupted some supply chain or something else is going on. It appears if you destroy the docking areas and then destroy parts of a station they have no crew to fix the station. I cannot be sure but this is what appears to happen.

I grew so tired of the recharge fac firing on my stolen ships in Auspicious Excavation that I destroyed all the platforms surrounding it. I also destroyed one of the recharge facs on the larger station as well as all docking areas and none of that has been repaired.
