Sharing Violation, anybody ?
Hello, I have a question regarding mods that people create in the workshop.

This morning, I opened my TTS table, and in the chat text box, a red note appeared saying:
''Sharing Violation .json - C:Name of my PC/Files/Games/TableTop/Workshops/SharesFiles.json''

I assume that somebody or a group of people complained that I used their assets to assemble and build a Mod by myself. That would be fair enough - I understand.

When I assembled my Mod, I made sure to credit everybody who created the assets, in the description. Everybody was mentioned. To make sure there would be no other consequences, I deleted the Mod altogether.

Anybody ever experienced this ??

Thanks !

I somehow have doubts that this was about someone claiming copyright, but I have never had this error before. In any case, if you get something removed off the workshop, it should give you a message in steam, not ingame.

This is sharing in the sense of file permissions on Windows. I think Defender is not allowing your chosen directory to be shared via TTS/Steam. You can test this by disabling your antivirus and Defender and trying to load this mod again.
You might have to choose a different TTS directory tree or go into your AV/Defender/Firewall settings and make sure permissions are granted for Steam and TTS specifically. You might have to do this every time Defender updates with a big patch.

Phew! At first I was wondering if ever everyone had to change the name of whatever they wanted players in.

Tragic The Tormenting,
Wizard and Wagons
Bar Ladder 40kays
You Know
etc

Ps found another one Grime Against The Manates
