Your voice matters!
So at current projections, we'll have enough money to make our planned expansion - and then we'll have to close down the studio as it'll just be too risky to pursue another project. That projection lands us some time in October-December we think. If you like the game, let folks know: write some reviews on Steam/GOG/GamersGate, shoot e-mails to your favorite news sources and let's players! Your opinions matter!

Show folks there is room in the 4x corner for a game that dares to break away from the MoO/Civ formula.

In upcoming stuffs for the game: We're looking to launch an expansion and a free DLC later this year even if the game continues its current sales trend.

Okay, I'm gonna post this on the site for added exposure. Can't let this happen...
Damn. Star Ruler 2 is my favorite 4X game. I feel like you're really managed to innovate with your games. Do you have any suggestions for what news sources we should e-email? I don't read much gaming news, but I think a few good articles could really make a difference.
Aw - That's terrible. :(
Could you run a Kickstarter to help raise some funds for the expansion that might help you last through the new year?
Oh man.... words will go ut.

We have the funds to last through the year, but not enough to safely last through developing the next game, especially considering the risk inherent in launching a game.
I went on youtube and sent the AngryJoeShow a suggestion (i left a comment in the discussion and sent a message) idk if that helps, but i hope it will :(

Rock, Paper, Shotgun
Polygon
IGN
Destructoid
GiantBomb

If we get at least some of those, the rest are liable to follow.

Maybe for the next game then? If nothing else it will help you guage interest, and could remove some of that risk.
Firaxis releases crap and it sells like gold nuggets :/ Its seems to be that all depends upon PR. If you are well known you can release Android games on PC and get great sales..

Don't think we should get ahead of ourselves in regards to android games at the moment. They probably need to gauge how well this and the expansion, especially with the unorthodox economy pyramid.
@Lvl 2 Slime, he was referring to Firaxis making games that are so bad they should be mobile games and instead are sold as AAA titles.
Ah my mistake.
You never know. If the dev keeps working on this project, he might have enough for the next one.

I tend to agree. I'm not quite sure how much this added publicity (whatever its scale turns out to be) will contribute to your bouncing back out of this situation, and you may find yourself having to choose between closing down or determining the potential success of a future game BEFORE you start making it.

Needless to say, closing down is the less favorable outcome, both for us players and for you guys. :P

Edit: Hmm... expansion... *starts up Chrome to investigate*

Re-edit: Interesting stuff, I particularly like ***CENSORED*** as it adds a lot of extra ***CENSORED*** to ***CENSORED***. Well, okay, that's the only major thing I see so far, so it wasn't a hard choice. :o

It's too soon to tell if there's any complaints I'll have to slap a ***CENSORED*** on, though. :)
