Is there no way to travel faster?

My only issue with this game is that it takes me 10 min. just to get to a destination. At full throtle at 200m/s it still takes forever. Am I missing a faster way to travel around?

Personally, I kind of enjoy the slow travel through the galaxy, it's realistic that it would take this time, and it's a game I play when I want to chill out..

You push J to bring up the SETA which increases the flow of time by up to 600%. That increases the speed you can travel but you'll still be spending quite a bit of time travelling in the game.

And make sure you go to setting in game and change the seta rate from 600% to 1000% to speed up the SETA even more!

Also there is the Jumpdrive upgrade, which allows you to jump from any position to any gate in the gate of a small ammount of energy cell per sector. Excluded from this are the gates in Terran space. They use an other, incompabile system.
You can buy the drive at few location like the Terracorp HQ in Home of Light. It's about 100k.

Also there is a community addon for the game that adds Jump bois. Which act as a alternative jump tartget. But it's rather complicated to use.

One other note: The autopilot is not very clever in the game, it tends to crash the ship from time to time. The higher the SATA speed is, the higher the chance of a crash becomes.

Be careful! When time is running too fast, ships are going lost too fast, too! :)

Engine tuning upgrades will increase your ships max speed up to a point. The fastest I've found so far is the Rapier at 458m/s.

I'm at the very start of the game just bought it this week and was doing the first real mission .. go to this gate that gate and then the south gate to get the pirate in his cruiser starts with a T but I died after getting there and had to do it all over again and going 169 was a pain in the butt I'm just glad I can "fast forward" made it, a lot less painful

There is seta and jumprive and a turbo booster if you installed the bonus pack. If you want to get anywhere quick get a Springblossum or Kestrel.

Found the Kestrel for sale at the Teladi shipyard in Grand Exchange here in TC.

They are both in TC Kestrel is Teladi and Jaguar is Split

You could always use the cheat script... Give yourself like 250 engine tuning. Or more; but 2,500+m/s isn't safe, lol. Then you will have all the speed you need. I like using it just for the speed boost in the beginning.. and to give yourself a kha'ak corvette as a main player ship :)
