Since I didn't get any response to my plea I thought maybe this screenshot would help to show what I mean. When I hit Transfer Resources all I get is a +100 button for energy and minerals. But no minus button. How the heck do I lower or cancel the order?
Really? So if I make a mistake and set it too high I can't change my mind? That seems rather Draconian, and for no reason. The game lets you adjust market prices up and down, why not sector allotments? Am I the only one surprised by this?
Anyway, I appreciate the answers. At least I can stop looking for the minus button now.
Yes, I probably misunderstood, and I have to admit, I'm having trouble understanding this whole "sector" of the game (I know, bad pun). Not so much the concept of stockpiling and sharing between sectors, just the specifics of the interface and how to make it work. In any case, even if the 6k is a one time payment it's still an overpayment if I meant to put in less, and it seems odd that I can't correct it by lowering it. Only raise it.
All that makes sense, and I would like to try and make use of this game system as I become more familiar with it. I just don't understand why the interface is so unforgiving about letting you change your mind if you want to lower the stockpile. More of a design question than anything else. What would be the DOWNSIDE of adding a minus button?
Yup you got it right.
[sarcasm]It doesn't matter as they can burn material for energy and fabricate material out of energy at a 100 % prefect rate. [/end]
