Some more questions to help troubleshooting this:
1. You on controller or mouse?
2. Normal game or Survival Mode?
3. Hero is dead? (Survival Mode)
This is a normal game.
No. It is not possible to replace this product in any way.
A few hours later I managed to change it, but now one more thing is stuck on another hero ... :(

(Have you tried editing your save-file to correct this? EDIT: Here's a how-to http://steamcommunity.com/app/281640/discussions/2/364040166680060167/?tscn=1514675554#c1621724915808673646 )
The problem was specifically in this artifact. He "broke down" and doubled when I went through a mission in the training camp.
Eventually. I was able to fix it. When he removed it from Hakon through the window of the choice of the artifact of another character. And now this artifact is in the singular.
Maybe someone this information will be useful.
A few questions to help us narrow in on the potential cause for this issue:
1 - Which challenge did this happen on?
2 - Did this happen with only the Mender's Fibon or did it happen with other items also?
3 - Did this happen only on Bolverk, or did it happen with other heroes also?
4 - Did you complete that training camp challenge?
5 - Did this issue appear only after you'd left the training camp?
Thanks!
1. This is a mission in which you can not let Bolverk make a move. After his murder, an icon of the artifact appeared on it, which was equipped with it. And I thought it was a reward for the mission.
2. I had to load and I rescheduled this moment twice. And for the first time this happened with another subject.
3. Only at Bolverke. At the time when I kill him and finish the mission.
4. Yes.
5. I do not know. I did not immediately realize that the artifact was stuck.
I actually just had this happen yesterday after a training mission, but it corrected itself pretty quickly.
Was doing the training mission where you have to insult Bolverk to stop him from taking any action (also hit 3 times w/ the axe throw, etc).
When Bolverk was killed in the mission, it said I received the item that he had equipped and after successfully completing it, it showed up in the mission outcome screen as a new item.
Went to the Heroes tent and there were now 2 copies of the item that he had equipped. Can't remember the name of the item offhand, but it was 2 STR resist, +1 WIL on kill. Not the Mender's Fib.
I was confused for a moment, thinking I now had 2, but when I attempted to equip the 2nd item, it wouldn't let me. That's when I realized that it showed Bolverk as having both the original and copy equipped. I made Bolverk equip another item and the copy disappeared and all was well again.
Yeah, I'm sure that's what's happening (I got Bolverk's item when I defeated him in the tower w/ Iver as well).
Just a weird interaction since it's basically a ghost item.
Thanks for the double cross-check, Atma!
When the item (e.g. the "Statue of a Sightless Man") is duplicated, it can still be moved between characters as follows
1) The item cannot be removed from a character when viewing it in their inventory
2) Leave that character and select another character's stats screen
3) Select the items
4) Find the "Statue of a Sightless Man" in the side-scrolling list and drag-and-drop it to your current character's item slot
5) When you return to your initial character they may still have the duplicate item equipped, but now you can swap it for another item
Also, the issue "resolves itself" in the start of Saga3, so at least it won't "propagate" into the next game.
Thank you this worked-- but first I had to level up another character and waste precious reknown.... Dammit. This makes me really think twice about buying part 3 when they can't even fix bugs from part 2 first.
