Mass Driver Ammo / Factories

Since I started playing a few days ago I noticed that I can buy Mass Driver weapons, but no ammo for them. I went to every trading station around Argon Prime, but none of them have any in stock. The Wiki and the forums said, I have to go to the Ammunitions Factory, for example in the sector Red Light, but there is no Factory. In none of the sectors are any Ammo Factories. Is this a bug, or did they just get removed from the game?

There definitively is an ammo fab in red light when you start a new game.

Possible reasons why you can't find it:

- you haven't revealed it yet

- it has been destroyed in fight

- it has been removed by the AI (usually happens later in game, but still possible)

Anyways, mass driver ammo is not only available in ammo fabs, but also in production complexes for special weapons (they usually sell ion disruptors, mass driver and the ammo) and in equipment docks. Trading stations don't sell mass driver ammo.
