Spring in to action with a SPRING CONTEST!

Spring is in the air! The chizzards are croaking majestically, arctic mirus are retreating from the encroaching thaw, and even Thing seems a little less creepy these days. Let's celebrate with a springtime contest!

Over the next couple weeks, build, draw, or create something inspired by springtime in Creativerse! Post your screenshot or artwork to this thread to officially enter - or if you prefer, tweet it with the hashtag #CreativerseContest.

On Monday, Apr 4, we’ll pick our 5 favorite entries as the winners.

PRIZE: Each of the 5 winners will receive 1000 coins!

The prize isn't silly at all! There are many folks who've complained that they cannot earn the coins and have to buy them. This is an opportunity for just that very thing.

I'll go ahead and get things started with a build that Minxall1 and I did. Spring makes me think of flowers and this was our concept of a 3D flower restaurant in a city we built together. We named it "The Rose" and gave it a fine dining flair under the dome with the best view of the city, plus the casual dining on the leaves (where drinking wasn't allowed for obvious reasons) and the outdoor dining at the base. It has a healing water elevator to reach the dome and the kitchen was housed in the base of the flower dome. We had a lot of fun with this project.

I agree that the prize is a bit lame.....why not offer the golden sword or golden blocks? Things that people aren't able to get anymore. That's my biggest turnoff about the game is that you can't buy 100% of the blocks available. If it's truly a creative game, why are we limited with what blocks we have access to in order to build with?

I can understand holiday blocks and missing those, as long as they are all available each holiday and are accumulative.

To put it into perspective, what if somebody wins the competition using previously mentioned blocks that others don't have or even know about? Is that fair? Just my 2 cents, good luck in the competition all.

The golden blocks and golden sword (and some other items) were given to those players that paid for the game before it went free-to-play as a reward for early support. Do you think it would be "fair" to now let any other players have those items? As for "perspective", do you really think that someone could/would win this contest solely on the fact that they used blocks that are not available to all players? You might look over the entries and winners in previous contests and ponder whether the winners were chosen due to the blocks they used, or whether it was the way in which they used the blocks that were available to them.

They've given pre-purchase rewards to players in many other games and offered them to other players at the same $ or more plenty. I don't think you're gonna hear people complaining about somebody getting blocks for winning a contest, that's just petty. I also don't think somebody is going to win the contest just because they have certain blocks, but it could help.

How about you jump off Playful's back because we can both agree it's a good game and it doesn't need you "defending" it. Don't worry, it'll still be around without your help. My guess is that you have the golden blocks and simply don't want to share, just a hunch. We should hook up this weekend and go take certain colors away from painters for ♥♥♥♥♥ and giggles bro.

I think you'd hear the same type of people complaining about somebody getting blocks as would complain that they should get blocks. There are always people who will scream "That's not fair!" at every opportunity.
