Achievement [ Brighter Than a Thousand Suns ] bugged?

Love the game so far, been farming the easy achievements in practice mode before going full scale war on the campaign.

For some reason the achievement for killing a boss with the beam special weapon doesn't trigger. I tried it on both bosses in Stage 1 (Practice) - no dice. The homing missile achievement popped without any problems.

So it's either not supposed to trigger in practice (and the missile special achievement isn't working correctly) OR it is bugged and should trigger? I even killed the Stage 1 boss using ONLY beams and it didn't pop.

Okay. then I guess it's either not properly linked to trigger in practice mode OR the missile circus wasn't supposed to happen. Gonna try and grab it in the campaign now.

EDIT: Did work on Stage 2, doesn't unlock on Stage 1 - even in the campaign.

The catch with this one is you have to use only the Beam sub-weapon on any boss without shooting your primary weapon (Riffle/Spreader/Grenade) on them once.
