I think, if DW8:XL DE is released on steam, it is a repetitive work unless DW8:XL CE is going to be removed .
Actully DW7 was not sold on steam store before, as far as I know, there was only retail version which contained steam key in it, and was mainly sold in Asian market. It might be the reason of the re-release of DW7:XL DE, which KOEI plans to sell globally.
And since when did companies shy away from re-releasing their games on Steam?
Christ... for once a game actually deserved a proper re-release... but Koei somehow decided to shoot themselves in the foot by releasing it on the WinStore so it can flop in sales harder than DW9.
Wait... does this Definitive Edition still feature PS3 graphics or its a ported PS4 version?
EDIT: nvm.. this Definitive Edition is just the same game here on Steam. For a moment i thought it was the PS4 version or actually had a real diference.
And btw, the WinStore version is EXACTLY the same one as this one, except it comes with all DLC by default (and you cant cross it over with DW8 Empires, of course).
It doesnt really contain additional "unavaiable" DLC and its actually missing the pre-order costumes that we got as both "Special Costumes" packs.
I guess they cant sell retailer exclusive stuff anymore?
Doesn't make sense. Do you really think it's that hard for them to implement the DLC into the base game? They don't even need to re-release the game on Steam. All they have to do is make a new sub called Definitive Edition and include the base game and all DLC.
Its probably because either Koei know they get more sales on Steam or the fact that you cant cross DW8 DLC on the WinStore for DW8 Empires
Kinda weird though, I'm almost sure it is a basic requirement between digital stores that they charge the same price between them, for example, the prices of the games from the ubisoft are the same on the uplay and steam
But maybe since they are not the same game (supposed), alas the different prices
