Not able to configure more than 3 PS Move controllers on a Macbook Pro Retina 13 inch, Early 2015
I had a Macbook Pro of 2013 and I had no problems to configure up to seven PS MOVE. Now I switched to a MacBook Pro Ealry 2015 and the system (Sierra) is able to pair up to only three devices. If I configure a fourth device, it stucks and I'm not able to pair. If I turn off a MOVE paired, the next one will pair with no issue at all. Does Apple set a limitation? In the bluetooth list the device is seen but not paired.

Anyone used the external device "Kinivo BTD-400"? They said that the version BTD-300 supported at best up to 7 devices with no pairing problems.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I have this same issue with a 2015 Macbook Pro running 10.11.

Same, mid-2014 pro with 10.12.1

Just wanted to add another voice to this - I'm also having the same issue, which I'm pretty sure is due to 10.12. I updated to 10.12.2 hoping it might have been fixed, but unfortunately that's not the case. I can pair controllers just fine, but I can only get three controllers to actually connect to the computer. I'm on a 15-inch MBP (Mid 2014). If anyone's got ideas, I'd be happy for guidance!

Same issue on 2013 MacBook Pro Retina 13in, 10.12.4. Prior to Sierra upgrade I had not been able to pair (another issue that has been reported in Forum). Now I have paired 4 PSMOVE 3 controllers, but can only connect (any) two of them concurrently.

Same issues on a 2015 Mac Book Air that used to work Joust with 7 controllers without much trouble, and a 2017 Mac Book Pro. No matter how many Move Controllers I successfully pair, only 3 can be connected simultaneously.

According to this bug report the only solution seems to be to get an external usb dongle:

Hello to everyone!

Following the different suggestions, I was able to setup up to 7 PS Move on my Macbook Pro (Early 2015) with High Sierra (10.13.3).

I bought another Bluetooth Adapter (Kinivo BTD-400 Bluetooth Adapter USB 4.0 on Amazon), I used Bluetooth Explorer to change the active bluetooth adapter (I downloaded the additional tools for Xcode 9.3 in order to get it).

To pair the PS Moves:

Start Johann Seb Joust

Select "Pair controllers"

Go to "Connect your PS Move controller"

Wait a bunch of seconds

After the pair action appers, disconnect the MOVE

With disconnected Move, press the PS button and the light will become "red".

Repeat these steps for other six times.
