How to get out of bronze as a solo player?

Is it even possible,? All I get is 1 win 1 loss 1 win 1 loss etc etc etc.
I am stuck in bronze forever it seems....
Does competitive have bots too btw?

Don't trash talk your team even if they're trash talking. That just destroys team work and makes every thing worse. Be the better person and ignore them and continue to try and help them and work as a team. When your team does well tell your team they did good, encourage them and be kind. Try to make call outs on your mic, if you don't want to speak at the very least ping the enemy and if you're dead because of a flank let your team know what's going on. Many players have tunnel vision and are not aware of their surroundings.

Communication is key, as well as being kind (within reason, of course, I'm not saying to suck off your team or anything.) Those two things can (almost) always carry the team.


Edit: Also know when to play what hero, like if you're attacking you probably shouldn't be playing Peni Parker for example. Of course you can play whoever, whenever you want, but she's exceptionally better when you're defending, she can really lock down a point and get you a win. Also try to take advantage of team-ups, even with randoms, their abilities are quite strong.

So as another example, if your team is defending if you see you have a Peni, maybe play Venom so she can use the ability. Remind them they have a special ability to use if you notice they're not using it.

Agreed I always try and talk to the team, sadly not many reactions that's why I feel I often am playing with bots. Guess I have to convince some of my friends to play and for a team like that.

Basically this ^ You have to literally play as you are 2 or even 3 players combined in 1.

I play only SOLO Q but I can tell you from my perspective that I hate Captain America in my team. His shield is not that strong, nothing about him is THAT crazy. He seems to do okay if there is a second tank but solo? Don't think so.

Strange is way better or even Venom, Peni Parker and Magneto. Groot is really good too.

As for losing games, in PLAT I had 12 lose strike so... :steamsunny:

You just have to take that Defeat and just move on because believe me you will have some good decent games and some crappy where your team will feel like is being made of bots.

Yeh Cap is great with Thor, I am just not as good with Strange. With Cap at least I can disrupt the enemy team for a bit. I am not killing much though. Venom I haven't learned yet.

I don’t recommend diving into competitive until your characters are at least Captain rank. In that mode, you’re going up against guys who play six to eight hours a day like it’s nothing.

I wish this was shown in the game for ALL the players :D Because rn Bronze is even worse than Quick Play. Had 2 matches where 2 people DCd and we had to play 4v6 because the game doesn't look for other players in Ranked.

You can drop 40 bombs in bronze 3 and still have 5 braindead "players" on your team, while the enemy knows how to press buttons. Sometimes you just get unlucky.
That being said, it shouldn't take too long even if you're unlucky. There's performance based point gain/loss, so for example. I went 3-7 yesterday, and lost 4 points total in gold, even though 5 of the losses were from someone on my team abandoning a won game, I didn't lose too much "progress" at least, just wasted some time.

Anyways, if you're hardstuck in bronze, it's more an indicator of your own skill, since if you're not climbing from a 50% winrate, your personal stats in each game are too low.

i went from bronze 3 to diamond 3 in like 35 games by just playing hela

you would be out of bronze with 1 win and 1 loss. you gain a lot more than you lose. you're losing over and over again which means you may belong there for now. try a different role.. it's important to be able to flex in this game. i thought i was going to main dps but then i've learned a couple supports and tanks and the games are much easier now

What is Captain rank? Does each character have an individual rank to test how proficient you are with them?

People are just hopesless sometimes i wonder how can a person be so bad there is no excuse for that i dont care if you're just born now if you never touched pc or a shooter / fps game in ur life before there is no EXCUSE to be that bad the people i meet as solo Q i went to plat 2 as solo q and even at plat ranks i often keep trash talking them and saying how they play as bronze and they are boosted no way this is a real plat player i carried my self to plat with namor not the best dps but im okey with him so it worked it wasnt easy but i did it my point is ppl are beyond bad and im just shocked how they are in those ranks who carries them i need to talk to them .. bcs im tired of ppl throwing and ruining my games in short solo Q is terrible idea you need atleast a good duo or trio to climb in a okey pace also in my opinion find one main and be good at it and stick to that like i did for me its complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to learn multiple heroes and suck in all of them this is how ppl throw the games bcs they pick a hero they have no idea how to play just to "fill" and act nice and we lose but if that person mained tank like i mained dps or support it would be easy game if you play with ppl who ACTUALLY are good at their heroes and dont play 10 heroes and suck at all of them

Also, yeah, don't stress too badly about ranked. Assuming you don't want to get to One Above All and just want the skin like me. Even then, remember it's a game and don't freak out over it. It gets frustrating, sure, but never take out your anger on other players.

Yes it is possible. One of the most important tips I got is not to get tilted on lose streaks and never lash out on your team.
