Options in Multiplayer

At present you have network play on or off no options for allow only friends to join or turn off their ability to screw with you. it's sad that you have to turn network play off because A-holes will show up and kill you just for fun. Example was playing with my wife for a few hours and forgot to turn off networking when she left was busy grinding away mining carbon when total A-hole shows up and blasts me from the air. It's a total coin toss as to wether a random joiner is going to be someone you could play with or someone just out to screw with people. The brief notification that someone entered your game is not sufficient. There should be a constant flashing notification in the corner to draw your attention. Stating that a non friend has entered your game. And considering the game keeps track of your standing with the various factions. Why not have it flash KNOWN PLAYER KILLER! Then you have a choice boot em or jump in your ship and have at it. I bet there wouldn't be half the B@llsh*t sneak attacks going on if that was implemented. Guy's name was Nerhesi BTW. Joined flew directly to me and blasted me from the air. Completely cowardly act!

Total Coward Nerhesi! Shooting a player (my husband!!!) from the air, and giving no warning that you wanted a fight. It's sad that you made sure that he was out in the open with no ship, no where to take cover, and no time to call his ship to him. He's told me to watch out and keep track of people when I'm playing alone, so this doesn't happen to me.
When a ramdom player comes into a game, it really should give you little bigger notice then a small so and so has entered your game. If they are not on your friends list, shouldn't they be in RED or a color that will get your attention?

the current experimental build allows you to change multiplayer settings. this idea of people joining your game and tearing up your base or killing you will only be possible if you allow it in your settings.

Yeah, sounds like the next build is addressing some of these issues. Also, I think its great you and your husband play this together. Very cool.
