I did came across a bug; After using it for some time, the tool presented suddenly really basic values. Like Res 320x200 and no fullscreen/borderless, etc. .dat file still poiting to correct NMS.exe path.
I do run the GoG version, and getting "Unknown No Man's Sky Version! MD5: <xxxxx> "
What if there was able to get some hoover tip about the settings? Not that NMSAdvCFG shall poll the values from OS, but general advices with link to an article, etc
I actually did something very similar in my Burnout Paradise Tool, BPAdvCFG with tooltips giving info about options/settings/features. I may eventually do that for this tool.
You should launch the game after applying settings. The game touches the config file and reformats any spaces or extra characters. Applying multiple settings multiple times might not work. Apply then launch every time. ... Then Reload :)
As for the MD5, I don't have the MD5's for GoG versions yet, If you let me know the MD5 I can add it :)

If your file does not verify with the SFV file provided. Then your release has been modified and should be treated with caution.
The CRC32 Checksum is available at the top of this post or on my website or in the changelog.
You can use QuickSFV[www.quicksfv.org] to verify SFV files.
Yes, it was my bad. I was editing the file multiple times, without running the game.
The MD5 for NMS.exe GoG version Patch 1.33 is b0a03b992fa9a3ada1242f036c2d9d12
And I am now downloading 1.34 experimental, update you soon.
Maybe Chaoss had some issues with your choice of download site? It worked fine with me.
Edit: Patch 1.34 GoG Experimental is MD5 596d8589909ddc2138a28f5a3ef3bb20
By r10 I hope to have the some of the 'General Options' as well such as Music/SFX Volume.
