RARE DEEP SPACE OBJECTS- What are they all about please?
Ok, so some I find you shoot and you get some lovely rewards. Others nothing seems to do anything, but I am sure if I do the right thing I'll surely get things from them? Annnnnd their is the old number station concept: Do we take note of the numbers? if so what for?

Annnnd not forgetting the old Black hole that seems to take you to places, usually, in the opposite direction you want by 100's of thousands LY. That one I can handle. AVOID them if you haven't made a recent note of a Space Station you can teleport back to.

Thanks for reading.

May the Rare Deep Space Objects Be With You..... ;)

Currently not much. Some seem to be place holders for future content.

Honestly, I think they're mostly just there for flavor.

many are flavor some are lore i find them interesting. but i hate the odd gek salesman who stops me while pulsing... he can go somewhere

Thanks guys and girls, appreciated answers indeed.

Geks are mutated birds from billions of miles away, that's face it. LOL.

I guess they have evolved to live in certain places.;)

I feel the Objects can be a pain at times. Sometimes I am stopped 4 times when trying to Pulse somewhere.

But then to day I got loads of Nanites etc. So who knows.
BigKahuna, thanks for link.

I Don't agree about the Rogue Black Hole. It jumped me back 400K LY. LOL
Luckily I had recently been in a Space Station on my route to the core and was able to get back to were I had started several hours earlier that day.

I suspect some of these will be used in future story lines or gain new interactions.

anomalous number stations, gives out a numeric code, that can converted to portal cooridinates.

You can convert them to numbers that also work for portal coordinates, but there's no evidence that those portal coordinates are the intended meaning of the code. From everything I've heard, there is nothing special at these converted coordinates. Personally, I think they haven't implemented whatever these tie into, if they ever will.

Yeah, it could be just fluff, a red herring or unfinished content or placeholder...

They do form a pattern though, a trail of sorts. The coordinates they send you to ALWAYS have another of that space encounter; so you can keep following. Who knows if there's something at the end. Haven't tested it yet.

All sounds very intriguing I must say.

I might have to try this just to experiment.

I ended up going down one of their Black Holes tonight just to see if it would take me closer to the centre and yet again it chucked me back 350LY. Luckily I had made a note of the Space Station I had just visited and I was able to get right back before it bumped me alllll the way back.
