Vulkan vs OpenGL
I am the only one who notice a drop in quality compared to OpenGl?

0 FPS after the patch - game can't even start, cause my GPU don't support Vulkan...

Unable to initialize Vulkan (vkEnumerateInstanseExtensionProperties failed.) You may not have a Vulkan driver installed, or an old driver on your machine may be corrupted.

The previous patch at least allowed to play with my low performance card (AMD 6770m)

Cant expect games to support a decade old GPU forever.
You have to upgrade at some point.

Not the only one, no. I see a massive drop in performance over OpenGL

With Vulkan and VR it's going to run like a drunken snail.

haha
It could run moba games with 100+ fps, not so terrible at all.

You actually can downgrade pretty much every game using the Steam console.

Update your drivers. Your GPU of course supports it.

Generally those games are designed to run on really bad hardware so that kids can play and dump a ton of money into their grind. It's a general truism of F2P titles, and most MOBA are technically F2P (obviously not all of them).

To the original post, I have noticed no difference.

My potatoe click could run moba at 100 fps. A redstone computer in minecraft could do it a 200 fps and play skyrim at the same time... THIS IS NOT A MOBA. It's an expansive, massively resource intensive simulation game and procedurally generated. Do you have any idea how much math you CPU and GPU have to do to work this game. It's not comparable to any hand drawn stuff like RPGs, or mobas.

You're not the only one.

I have the GoG version still installed with NEXT update and with VSync off, I can hit 90+ FPS (as measured with FRAPS) without dropping lower than 40 FPS (save for when I am in a stupidly huge base). It's an truly awesome gaming experience.

When I load up Beyond on Steam however, I can't seem to get more than 40 FPS and it's bloody awful trying to fly anywhere, with the choppy frame rate and hitching. Even adjusting the settings down to the lowest at 720p doesn't help. And this is exactly what I experienced when I tried the experimental branch a few months ago, using both my old AMD R9 270 2GB video card and my new GTX 1660 6GB video card. Vulkan is straight up garbage that has ruined the game for me.

The sad part is that it actually runs better with my old video card. Sure one could blame Nvidia for not properly supporting an API that was intentionally designed and optimized for ATi's ancient graphics paradigm, but that would be stupid. Really, really stupid. The problems isn't Nvidia, it's game companies who can't be bothered to properly port their console games to the PC.

What we have here now is a half ♥♥♥♥♥ console port, not a PC game. Amazing that Steam doesn't complain about this given that over 75% of their users have Nvidia GPUs.
