What is a power hotspot?
I've just found a class b power hotspot. What is it used for?

I'm currently making 40 million every hour and that's a relatively small setup, so worth while investing in.

What is a mineral hotspot? Is that just a mineral deposit or something new?

Similar to a power hotspot, it's an "invisible node" that only the survey scanner can see, and only the mineral extractor can make use of. They have a class (C through S) that determines how quickly you gather resources from it. You can then pipe it into storage containers so you can gather mass amount of resources over time.
You place Mineral Extractors on mineral hotspots, sort of like the old auto mining units, connect them to supply depots and they will constantly mine for you without you needing to do much as long as it has power.

The higher the rank the more an extractor can mine per hour, you need depots to hold the ore, its basically an upgrade to the auto miner with extra steps.

Free Energy basically....Combine it with the mineral spots and you literally make money. Werf the investment

Is there anything to spend it on? I'm genuinely curious. I had a farm once, but never worked out what to do with the money, and I'm hoping there's some gameplay I missed.
If you're enjoying it I'm happy for you.

Just means i don't need to worry about credits while i play, admittedly having everything you can buy with credits seems like end game but i like all the base building and exploration, missions and such just hated not affording it.

I didn't know about storage depots. I was collecting straight out of the extractor, lol.
