Most blue star systems have at least one planet with activated indium as a deep mineral resource. If you choose a blue star system with 4 or more planets, you are almost certain to find one that will work.

ok a bit off topic, but WHY the hell would you do that much terrain edits for a base. chances are that it'll end up buried at some point after mining a ton more resources :(

edit: the terrain edit limitations is the only thing holding me back from a fully subterranean base. or a base carved into the side of a cliff.

There are hardly any edits at all. All you do is get the wooden floor panels, then make a square. The panels carve the subterranean level out themsleves...you don't need to do anything. Start at the side of the hill, then just make a line toward the hill and then you have your cave. The buildings also carve out the rock and if stacked will eventually puncture through the surface. Its not that hard or time consuming at all

Yup, That's how you mine. You use floor panels to mine. Then you can keep the panels there, to keep the tunnel clear. I did it with my base. I had alot of hills around my base so I just went through the hills using floor panel shafts. Then sent a wire down the shaft to my base.

That's it. It is dead simple

apparently you didn't understand my comment fully, it had nothing to do with the amount of work involved as it seems you think i meant. coming from Space Engineers and exclusively building underground bases i am fully aware of the amount of work it takes to build one.

you have an overall limit to terrain edits, after that terrain will start to regenerate starting at the oldest terrain edit first. this means that the more holes you dig, whether you use base parts or the terrain manipulator, that eventually your nice underground base will get back filled.

My base is pretty big, and it doesn't get backfilled....just saying

Emeril = Green suns
Cadmium = Red suns
Indium = Blue (?) suns
